UPDATE: NKIRU SYLVANUS KIDNAPPED!

Details of the kidnap is still sketchy but I heard the one time actress and now Special Assistant on Public Affairs to Imo State Governor,  Nkiru Sylvanus has been kidnapped.  Her friends sent out the message this afternoon. The kidnappers are asking for N100m. Dear God, what is this country turning into? There is a kidnap case virtually everyday and plane crashes happening way too often, who is to save this country?

Update: Nkiru Sylvanus was kidnapped in Owerri, Imo State along with her personal assistant  this morning, December 16, 2012. She was last seen on the set of a movie last night in Owerri. She was kidnapped while she was in her house. 

The story was confirmed by Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) President Ibinabo Fiberisima.

‘We are trying to liaise with her state government to find a solution to it. It’s unfortunate that people can do things like this to people who make them happy‘, the AGN President lamented.

COSSY ORJIAKOR OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES MUSIC ALBUM + HER DISPLEASURE WITH HER ALBUM COVER

The album launch took place yesterday night on the Island in Lagos. Cossy is seen in the pic above performing at the album launch.

Cossy wasn't too pleased with the album cover for her debut album. She tweeted, "Marketing my water melons instead of music. Am so speechless". Don't blame the designer of the album cover, he probably didn't have a more decent picture to work with.

They were at the Kampala Nile Awards which held recently in Kenya. They both won awards for Entertainment Entreprenuer award (Jim Iyke) and Best Role Model Award(Nadia). Congrats to them.

FRENCH REALITY STAR CLAIMS SHE HAD SEX WITH CHRIS BROWN IN PARIS

 French reality star Ayem Nour just opened up about her “beautiful” experience with Chris Brown while he was in Paris…even though he was seen with Karrueche and Rihanna in the city of lights too.

Ahem told French magazine Oops, that she let slept with Chris  last weekend in his hotel room; even though Karrueche was right there! She also made it known that Chris and Karrueche’s relationship is very open and that Karruehce was ok with it.

"It was beautiful and flattering. Some will criticize me, but I put any girl in challenge to say no to Chris Brown." she said.

Chris Brown is just playing all these women and they seem to be alright with. Well, waiting to hear from Rihanna. 

FACES OF THE INNOCENT LIVES SNUFFED OUT BY THE SANDY HOOK KILLER

20 kids, 12 girls and 8 boys, all within ages 6 and 7, were killed in the tragic shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary on Friday. The gunman, Adam Lanza, shot each of the kids up to 11 times in what is now being referred to as a revenge attack. The killer apparently had visited Sandy Hook Elementary the day before Friday's massacre during which he was involved in an altercation with four members of staff - three of whom are now dead. The fourth teacher wasn't at school yesterday and is currently being interviewed by investigators.

KADUNA GOV. YAKOWA CONFIRMED DEAD IN BAYELSA STATE HELICOPTER CRASH

The Nigerian Navy Augusta 109 helicopter that crashed on Saturday.

The governor of Kaduna State, Patrick Yakowa died in yesterday's Naval helicopter that crashed in Bayelsa State. Other passengers on board the chopper who have been confirmed dead are the former National Security Adviser; Andrew Azazi, whose last public appearance before today was at the Christopher Kolade annual lecture in Lagos on Thursday, Yakowa’s Special Adviser, Dauda Tsoho; Azazi’s bodyguard, Warrant Officer Mohammed Kamal and two Naval pilots, Commander Murtala Mohammed Daba and Lt. Adeyemi Sowole.

This crash is coming barely two months after the plane crash on October 25, 2012 involving the governor of Taraba state, Danbaba Suntai who is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Germany. This is so so sad.

NIGERIAN NAVY HELICOPTER CRASHES IN BAYELSA STATE

A helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Navy carrying Kaduna State governor, Patrick Yakowa and the immediate past National Security Adviser, General Owoeye Azazi plus four others crashed this afternoon in the creeks of Bayelsa State. The occupants were headed to Port Harcourt after attending the burial ceremony of the father of President Jonathan’s aide, Mr. Oronto Douglas and several helicopters were hired to transport the dignitaries to and from the event.

The crash occurred in a swampy location near Okoroba community in Nembe local government area of the state. Details of the casualty figure are still vague, will update as soon as I know more.

BBA WINNER KAREN IGHO SLAPPED BY A SECURITY GUARD AT SMIRNOFF PARTY YESTERDAY

Karen was invited to the Smirnof party that held last night mostly to support her very close friend, Denrele Edun who was the host, only to get slapped across the face by a security gurad. 20-YEAR-OLD BOY KILLS 26, INCLUDING 20 CHILDREN IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN AMERICA

A troubled 20-year-old loner, Adam Lanza (pictured in the middle) with a history of autistic behavior is the monster behind a horrific shooting at a Connecticut elementary school that left 26 people, including 20 children, dead on on Friday. Adam  shot his mother Nancy, a kindergarten teacher, at the upscale suburban home they shared together and then took three of her guns and drove the Dandy Hook Elementary School about 9.30am. 

This is so sad. This is one case too many in America. They probably need to make ownership of gun illegal. May the souls of those little ones and all those who lost their lives rest in peace. Pls continue to read after the cut...

MANAGER AND HOUSEMAID KILL THEIR BOSS TO TAKE OVER HER BUSINESS

                                              Police PRO, Lagos State Police Command, Ngozi Braide

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a manager and a housemaid for killing their boss, Alhaja Sikirat Eko, in Omole Phase 1, Lagos State. Eko was said to be running a restaurant and bar in her compound, where she lived alone with the maid. According to the police authorities, the suspects allegedly killed Eko at her home located on 5, Babatunde Ladega Street and kept her corpse within the premises.

The suspects were said to have continued to run the restaurant, giving neighbours and customers the impression that the deceased had traveled. The two were said to have run out of luck when relatives of the deceased came on a visit. When the suspects could not provide a satisfactory answer, the matter was said to have been reported at Area G Command, in Ogba. A police source who preferred to remain anonymous, told our correspondent that the manager threw Eko into a well inside the compound along with a generator. The manager was said to have taken her phone which he used in impersonating her.
