While reading the comments under the article by Daily Mail Uk today on Liam of One Direction buying the '£1.2m' champagne to celebrate Wizkid's birthday, someone wrote that the wine actually retails for £400 and not the widely acclaimed £1.2m. The maker of the wine, Alexander Amosu has now come out to confirm this, he wrote on his Instagram page; "Wow!!! Seems the media has taking my instagram & changed it to
their own. Swarovski diamond edition as stated in my instagram is £350 not £1.2m".
My question is, why is he just coming out to say this? Why did he let the wrong assumption go on for so long? He knew the info was wrong all along but didn't deem it fit to correct it. If Daily mail hadn't written about the 'supposed' world most expensive champagne, he would have just continued to enjoy the hype. And by the way Mr 'luxury designer' Amosu, it's taken not 'taking'.
