COMMERCIAL BUS DRIVERS AND CONDUCTORS IN LAGOS TO WEAR UNIFORM

Commercial bus drivers and conductors in Lagos will soon begin to wear uniform and badges and owners of such buses will have their identities aboard the vehicles. The state Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Kayode Opeifa, while briefing journalists on the activities of the ministry in the last 365 days, said, “The transport unions have agreed on the type of uniform and the badges they will give to the commercial bus drivers and their conductors. The identities of the owners (owners’ cards) of the commercial buses will also be aboard these buses.”

The commercial bus drivers must be re-certified by attending the drivers’ institute, where they will undergo comprehensive tests  -  including vision and driving tests. Not a bad idea at all.

BOKO HARAM CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR BAMA, BAGA ATTACKS THAT KILLED OVER 250 PEOPLE

What exactly does Boko Haram want? How come the government knows who they are and they haven't been arrested? The leader of the Islamist group, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau has claimed responsibility for the two recent deadly attacks - the Bama attack on May 7 where 55 people, mostly soldiers and police, were killed, and the Baga attack on April 16 which left over 200 people dead. The military has been accused of causing scores of deaths in the Baga violence by deliberately setting fires that razed thousands of homes after the initial attack, an accusation the military has denied.

A video was released by Boko Haram yesterday and in the video which shows women and children being held hostage by the sect and Shekau, who was declared a global terrorist by the United States, seated on a rug, said; “We are the ones that carried out the Bama attack, we also carried out the attack in Baga,” “It was you, the security agents that went into town the following day and burnt homes and killed people at will,” Shekau said.

The mother of six recently revealed that she has had double mastectomy (surgical removal of one or both breasts, partially or completely) to prevent breast cancer after a blood test showed she was genetically susceptible to cancer. Angelina's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died at the age of 56 after battling with cancer for almost a decade and

She had her breasts removed and then reconstructed and her partner, Brad Pitt stood by her side every step of the way. Read Angelina's inspiring NY Times article after the below...

"My mother fought cancer for almost a decade and died at 56. She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was.

'OGA AT THE TOP' SHEM OBA FAYE RESUMES AS THE NSDC OYO STATE BOSS

Ya''ll still remember 'My Oga at the top' now (how can anyone forget sef)? The former Lagos State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Mr. Shem Obafaye, has been posted to Oyo State and has resumed duty as the Commandant of the security agency in the State.

Obafaye was replaced by Mr. Adesuyi Clement from Oyo State Command after his interview on Channels Television live programme ‘Sunrise’ about two months ago went viral.  Since then, no specific assignment was given to him until last week when he was asked to replace Adesuyi officially.

I hope he won't be granting any interviews anytime soon, if he will, he should at least memorize the website of his new office o, lol.
