That's what the organisers of the event are saying. That the 2012 edition of The Headies awards which held on October 20, 2012 at the Expo Hall of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, cost a whopping $1.5m (approximately N236m).
The show’s executive producer and C.E.O of Smooth Promotions, Ayo Animashaun,
disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Nigerian Entertainment
Today. The figure, he says, covers sound, lighting,
venue, logistics, plaques and events, according to our findings. And the
budget came from mostly corporate sponsors, including MTN, Lucozade,
and Verve.
