A top Boko Haram commander, who was arrested in January this year, Sani Mohammed, has reportedly escaped from police custody in Abuja on Thursday. The suspect who was
arrested with another Boko Haram operative, Kabir Sokoto, allegedly escaped from the cell where he was kept with other
terror suspects.
The same thing happened early this year, when Sokoto, the alleged mastermind of the
Christmas Day bombing of Saint Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger
State, escaped from police custody while
being taken for a search of his apartment (they say) 24 hours later at Abaji, in Abuja. Though, the Force
Headquarters are denying the escape, security sources
confirmed that Mohammed absconded from custody.
What the hell is going on? Who is messing with us, the Police, the government or what? I don't understand how other criminals are unable to escape but Boko Haram members in police custody have a way of getting out. Somebody somewhere is definitely messing with us.
