The doctor-in-charge of the Surulere based Toki hospital, Dr Olamiju has confirmed that ex-international goal keeper, Peter Rufai has regained consciousness and has started responding to treatment. “He is out of coma and he can now eat and he recognises everyone around. He is fine,” his brother confirmed.
Rufai, 49, was rushed to the hospital by his younger brother, Bruce, on Monday, October 15, 2012 after he slumped in his office. Bruce said Rufai may be suffering from shock, following the
death of their mother, Christianah, who passed away few days ago.
