3 PEOPLE CONFIRMED DEAD AS 3 STOREY BUILDING COLLAPSES AT EBUTTE META, LAGOS

A 3-storey building at N0 29, Oloto street in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos collapsed aroun 2.30am early this morning while residents slept. 10 people were rescued from the rubble but 3 were already dead, while 7 people, including 2 children and 2 teenagers have been rescued alive. Many people are said to be trapped under the rubble as rescue efforts from the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and other agencies continue. Will bring more update as I get more info on this.

POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED KILLER OF LAUTECH STUDENT KILLED FOR RITUAL PURPOSES

Remember last month, I wrote a post about the dismembered remains of a student of Lautech that was found behind a Guesthouse (if you missed it, read it HERE) Her friends claimed she left the hostel to meet her boyfriend and didn't return . According to Punch, one of the suspects, has been caught. Read the report below;

The Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday paraded Alex Akinyemi, an alleged accomplice in the killing of a student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Miss Seun Adaramoye.

The remains of Adaramoye were found by passersby near a guest house at Under-G area of Ogbomosho on June 20, 2013.

Even when I visited him in London, I warned him about white ladies. I told him that even if he’s having a relationship with a white lady, it should stop at that; he should not allow such relationship to end up in marriage. I told him whenever he wants to settle down in marriage, he should come down to Nigeria and pick a wife. If he’s thinking towards the direction of getting married to a white lady, we are not in support of that. My parents are not in support of him getting married to a white. If he’s in a relationship, that’s just a relationship.

Damilola Olayiwola, daughter of Razak Olayiwola, popularly known as Ojopagogo is missing. The actor’s daughter left Oyo Town for Ibadan around 2 pm on Tuesday and has not been seen since then. This is one of the most annoying and appalling things I have ever heard. A witness in the case involving a policeman, Cpl. Abu Abolaji, who is standing trial for alleged shooting three men to death while on patrol, yesterday, told a Lagos High Court in Igbosere that seven shots were mistakenly fired by him. The witness, Mr Yahyah Emmanuel, an inspector, told the court that he and three other policemen, including the defendant, were on patrol when the seven shots that left three men dead were fired.
