GOLDIE COULD HAVE LIVED BUT FOR TRAFFIC ON VALENTINE'S DAY

According to the tribute paid to the late singer by her younger brother, Joshua, Goldie could have lived if she had gotten to the hospital on time. While reading Goldie’s biography, Joshua said Goldie fell into a coma and did not get to the hospital on time because of the traffic caused by Valentine Day celebration. Narrating her last moments, Joshua said the last person his sister spoke to before her death was their father whom she asked to pray for her. He said;

“Although Bimpe (Goldie) appeared energetic and happy all her life, on February 14, 2013, she complained of headache which led to her death. Her last words were with her father when she snatched the phone from her brother and asked that she wanted to talk to daddy. “While crying about a splitting headache, she asked for prayer support. Alas she went into a coma almost immediately and died on the way to the hospital due to the Valentine traffic.”

Goldiedied of cerebral hemorrhage and heart disease on February 14, 2012 around 7.30pm at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island. Doctors at the hospital said she was brought in dead.

IRANIAN TV PHOTOSHOPS MICHELLE OBAMA'S OSCAR DRESS TO LOOK MORE MODEST

An Iranian news agency, Fars News ran a story on the Oscars and showed First Lady, Michelle Obama's announcing the award for Best Picture but photoshopped her dress to include cap sleeves to cover her shoulders and the neckline was raised to completely cover her chest in line with the country's Islamic dress codes that require women not to expose too much skin. How odd!

The annual Kennis Music Easter Fiesta will not hold this year. The decision made by the record labe is to honor Goldie, who was a member of the Kennis Music family where she was an artiste under the label until her death. Read the statement below;

Due to the loss of our dear Oluwabimpe Goldie Harvey, The Management has decided not to celebrate this year’s event. The festival is hereby cancelled for 2013. However, you can join us for a Thanksgiving service/Tribute Concert to be held at a later date. Thank you for your understanding.

FOUR NASSARAWA STATE UNIVERSITY KILLED, SCHOOL SHUT DOWN

Four Nasarawa State University students were brutally murdered and seven other wounded by Soldiers today who were brought into the school to quell a peaceful protest by the students. The students were protesting  over the shortage of water supply within the University around 8a.m today when suddenly some military men stormed the university campus shooting sporadically. 15 students were shot and four of them died. Nobody knows who called the Soldiers but the school has been shut down on the orders of the university authority and as at 3pm today, the military men were still harassing any students they saw within the premises of the university.

What is going on in this country?  Even our schools are no longer safe? I'm waiting for the spin the Military is going to put on this. I'm beginning to lose hope in this country. So sad, smh.

GOSPEL ARTISTE, LANRE TERIBA, SHOT IN SOUTH AFRICA

Gospel singer, Lanre‘Atorise’Teriba and Dele Taiwo were in South Africa on the 15th of this month to perform at a Valentine show tagged Praise Night Concert. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the unpleasant when after the show, Lanre was attacked by unknown men and was shot in the leg during the robbery attack . He was robbed of his phones, Ipad and Gold wrist watch. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Pretoria. Dele Taiwo who was also present at the event was not attacked.

Thank God he's going to be fine.
