SAME SEX MARRIAGE NOW ATTRACTS 14 YEARS IMPRISONMENT

The House of Representatives yesterday Thursday May 29th approved 14 years imprisonment for persons who contracted same sex marriage in the country. This was sequel to a clause-by-clause consideration of a Bill for an Act to prohibit marriage or union entered between persons of same sex, at the Committee of the Whole.

“Marriage or civil union entered between persons of same gender shall not be solemnised in any place of worship, either church or mosque or any place in Nigeria,” it said.

During the Central St Martins graduate fashion show, which is considered a pivotal event for wannabe designers to show off their hard work to the fashion press as well as potential employers and buyers in the industry, a student designer, Cassanda Verity Green sent a model down the catwalk with accessories containing a real life goldfish. Fashion has really gone crazy, with planks on the runway, naked models, etc. now 'aquarium' bag.

TRAIN DERAILS TRACK IN LAGOS

A section of a train coming from Ijoko in to Ebutte Metta, Lagos derailed at Agege yesterday. According to eyewitnesses, the incident which occurred between 11.30pm and 12.30am was said to have been caused by defective tracks, 'even though the rails were not aligned properly; there was a gap between them which ought not to be.' The driver of the locomotive was also blamed as he was said to have been moving at a high speed. When he ran into the improperly laid rails, the locomotive was thrown off the rails.

Luckily, there were no passengers on board the train, the driver sustained injuries but they are not life threatening.

A new bizzare case of honour killing happened in India, as a young woman in Bihar was set on fire and then left to die in a locked room by her family members four days after she eloped with her lover. Police said the angry family members set the woman on fire and then locked her in a room at Sonevarsha village in central Bihar’s Bhojpur district on Sunday before fleeing the scene.

Local villagers who heard her cries rushed to the spot but found her locked inside a room after which they informed the police.

Queen of Nollywood, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos after her US trip. The star, who was honored at the 2013 TIME 100 Gala in New York in April and also spotted in May at the EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women and the Maxim Hot 100 Party, both in California, was with her hubby Captain Mathew Ekeinde at the airport. Mothers in the house, would you use this new invention that supposedly helps busy mothers to keep their babies out of harm's way and to free their hands when busy in a shop, trying on a dress, wash their hands, in the gym, bathroom or changing rooms.

The Babykeeper is an infant seat that can be hung up on the go and holds babies six to 18-month-old. It hooks over cubicle walls and has a simple harness to keep the baby securely in the carrier. Looks too scary, don't think I would have the mind to hang my baby on this, would you?

OMG! BABY RESCUED ALIVE FROM TOILET PIPE AFTER BEING FLUSHED AWAY BY PARENTS WHO DIDN'T WANT HIM (GRAPHIC PHOTOS)

Dear God! The heart of man is indeed desperately wicked. Firefighters in eastern China have rescued an abandoned newborn baby boy lodged in a sewage pipe.

 

The baby was stuck in a sewage pipe, about4 inches wide, directly beneath a toilet in a residential building in Jinhua in the wealthy coastal province of Zhejiang on Saturday afternoon. He was discovered after residents heard the sound of a baby crying in the pipe. Firefighters were quickly alerted and they cut the pipe with the baby still in it, and took it to the hospital where the Doctors carefully cut around the pipe to rescue the baby.
