CHOC CITY SPEAKS ON JESSE JAGZ' EXIT FROM THE LABEL

There were rumours that some of the reasons why Chocolate City wasn't taking Jesse Jagz seriously which consequently led to his exit from the label was because of his addiction to marijuana and that there were several cases where he would travel to the North for a gig and wouldn’t bring back anything to the label.

However, in a statement signed by CEO Audu Maikori, Chocolate City says Jagz does not owe them a dime, does not do marijuana, and never at any time was rude to the label or its executives. Read the statement below;

"Chocolate City has never released information on any owed monies by the Artiste, Jesse Jagz and as a matter of fact is not being owed any monies by the Artiste through show performances or other means. Furthermore, Chocolate City also states categorically that Jesse Jagz does not have a history of Marijuana abuse neither did it or any of its staff make any allegations to that effect...

Afro Soul singer, India Arie released pics from her new single "Cocoa Butter" and she looks completely different. It's obvious she has 'toned' or is it bleached, her skin. Nollywood has released yet another soft porn titled "Bold 5 babes". There was one involving Tonto Dikeh, Jim Iyke and a Ghanaian actress. About a week ago,they released another one featuring  Tony Umez and Chinelo in "Room 027" and now this. Nollywood has completely lost it's innocence and very soon, kids won't even be able to watch our movies again all in the name of civilization.

Last year December, Davido found himself in the middle of another lady-in-bed photo scandal with an unnamed girl after the first one involving girl friend Sonia went viral in March, 2012 while holidaying in  Ghana. Davido has broken his silence on the matter. He told former Big Brother Africa house mate Ebuka Obi Uchendu  hosts of TV programme Rubbing Minds that he never knew the girl and that she later called his people to apologise. Read below;

"I was asleep in bed. The girl just snuck in and (makes gesture of taking photograph) I don’t know her. I used to stay in an apartment back then and movement was kind of free. Maybe I didn’t lock the door and she just snuck in and took the pix. I have  however moved to my new home where there is much tighter security. I didn’t realise what was going on even after the pix was posted online. I traveled to Ghana immediately afterwards and I noticed on the plane people were just staring at me and I wondered why."

IMO STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR IMPEACHED

The Imo State House of Assembly has impeached the State’s Deputy Governor, Mr. Jude Agbaso over the alleged N458 million contract scam, gross misconduct and abuse of office. According to reports,  23 out of the 26 members  of the Imo House of Assembly voted to impeach Mr Jude Agbaso. The speaker read out a letter from Gov. Rochas Okorocha where he nominated the Chief of staff, Eze Madumere, to replace the deputy governor.

NELSON MANDELLA ADMITTED IN THE HOSPITAL AGAIN FOR RECURRING LUNG INFECTION

Former South African President Nelson Mandela has been admitted to the hospital for a recurring lung infection, the South African President’s office said today. He was admitted just before midnight on Wednesday.

Mandela, 94, spent 18 days in the hospital in December for a lung infection and gallstones, he also spent a night in a hospital and was released on March 10 following a medical test. Let's pray for a quick recovery for him.

M.I SPEAKS ON WHY HIS BROTHER, JESSE JAGZ, LEFT CHOC CITY

M.I has revealed why his younger brother and former label mate, Jesse Jagz left Chocolate City. In an interview with Naija FM, M.I said that his brother left the label not because of any bad blood with the label as being speculated but for growth. 

Jesse Jagz recently announced through a statement on his Facebook page that he was no more with Choc City which also has Ice Prince and Brymo as its artistes.

TONTO DIKE'S DELVE INTO MUSIC IS A BAD IDEA - OJB

Babatunde Jezreel Okungbowa a.k.a OJB, a veteran music producer and singer, in an interview with Nigerian Tribune, shared his thoughts on Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh’s music and he made absolute sense. Read his comments below;

“The problem is that she wasn’t listening to the key thing. People did not download the song out of love but out of surprise. If she really wants to go into music professionally, she needs to take out her time and learn how to sing. It’s a lot easier to cross into acting from singing but a lot harder to cross into singing from acting. If after her first single, she got better people to coach and produce her songs, she might not have complained so much but there was no improvement.”

OBAFEMI AWOLOWO'S SON, OLUWOLE AWOLOWO DIES AT 70

The son of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and the publisher, African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc, the publishers of the Tribune newspapers, Chief Oluwole Awolowo, is dead. He died in a United Kingdom hospital on Wednesday as a result of the complications he suffered in a car crash about seven years ago.
