GOSPEL ARTISTE, LANRE TERIBA, SHOT IN SOUTH AFRICA

Gospel singer, Lanre‘Atorise’Teriba and Dele Taiwo were in South Africa on the 15th of this month to perform at a Valentine show tagged Praise Night Concert. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the unpleasant when after the show, Lanre was attacked by unknown men and was shot in the leg during the robbery attack . He was robbed of his phones, Ipad and Gold wrist watch. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Pretoria. Dele Taiwo who was also present at the event was not attacked.

Thank God he's going to be fine.

Kim kardashian's visit to Nigeria last week has opened up a can of worms as it has now been revealed that President Jonathan, while still the Governor of Bayelsa state, paid $1million of aid money to  international popstars such as Beyonce and Jay-Z to perform at THISDAY music festival in 2006.

MURDER SUSPECT, OSCAR PISTORIUS'S BROTHER, CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER

Carl Pistorius, the brother of Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius, is facing charges over the death of a woman in a car crash in 2010. Carl Pistorius, who was present in court over the past week to support Oscar, is charged with culpable homicide over the alleged accidental death of a female motorcyclist.

His lawyer Kenny Oldwage, who also represents Oscar Pistorius,who is currently being charged with premeditated murder for killing his girlfriend, confirmed the charges today. Carl Pistorius appeared in court just two days before his brother's bail hearing last week. 

Can't imagine what their parents must be going through, having two of their children facing murder/manslaughter charges at the same time. May we not have children that will bring shame and unrest to us  .

POLIO KILLINGS: NBC SHUTS DOWN WAZOBIA FM KANO

Following the killing of 7 female health workers in Kano last week, the broadcasting license of the Wazobia FM in Kano State North West Nigeria has been revoked by the Nigeria Broadcast Commission with immediate effect.

The ban is as a result of the controversial programme "Sanda Girma" that aired on Wazobia FM Kano which the authorities believe instigated the people against polio vaccination and led to killing of the health workers. The presenter of the programme, Yakubu Musa, and Malam Mubaraq, a news room staff are standing trial over their alleged role in the sad incident. 19 people lost their jobs yesterday for some  'miss yarn' by a shallow minded presenter, so sad.

I want to speak about my music career, family, and my fans because they are the ones who have brought me to limelight.

So, when is Goldie getting married?
Obviously, everybody is looking forward to spend the days with someone. I don t think I need to make noise about when and who I am getting married. Marriage is a thing of commitment, it is not until you call the whole world to come and felicitate with you that you are married; it is just a committed thing from one’s heart.

Are you kind of planning a secret wedding?
I am not saying that, I am not saying anything about wedding, all what I am saying is that your connection with somebody should be of heart and not a public spectacle

Do you believe in love at first sight?
I believe in lust at first sight, but anything can happen sha; though it hasn’t happened to me yet.

So, whom are you connected with now?
Right now, I am not connected with anybody that wants to be spoken about

PAUL PLAY DAIRO DRAGS MTN, ULTIMA TO COURT FOR COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

RnB singer, Paul Play is suing mobile telecommunications giant, MTN and Ultima Limited for the unlawful use of his smash song, “Angel of my life” in MTN Project Fame West Africa and is demanding for  N500 million as compensation from both organisation.

Paul Play was in America last year when the song was used without proper licensing and according to him, his management has hired the legal services of Festus Keyamo chambers to serve both organisations the suit. “Yes, it is very true that I am suing MTN and Ultima Limited for the unlawful use of my song. I have contacted my lawyers and they are on it” he said.

JONATHAN REVERSES RE-NAMING OF UNILAG

President Goodluck Jonathan has reversed the re-naming of University of Lagos to Moshood Abiola University. Chairman, Governing Council of University of Lagos, Professor Jerry Gana disclosed this in Abuja during his inauguration alongside three others by the Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Rufai. So no more MAULAG. I am especially happy about this 'cos I'm an Akokite. UNILAG for life! Hehehe.

OMOTOLA MAKES HER HOLLYWOOD DEBUT

Omotola is making her US TV debut in an American TV drama series called Bounce starring Kimberly Elise (pictured above with Omotola), Dean Cain, Bernie Kopell, Eric Stoltz and Akon amongst others. The series was shot in LA. Bounce is a VH1 series created by James LaRosa, which follows Ahsha, (played by Taylor Paige) a girl who joins the professional basketball dance team, the Los Angeles Devil Girls, unaware of the treacherous and tempting world that follows.
