US, CANADA AND TAIWAN WARN CITIZENS AGAINST NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL TO NIGERIA
A few days ago, the United States, Canadian and Taiwanese governments
warned their nationals against non-essential travel to Nigeria, following
increased terrorist attacks in the North-East. On Thursday, Security was beefed up around foreign missions
in Abuja.
According to Focus Channel report on Thursday, Taiwan urged
its nationals to avoid non-essential travel to Nigeria, especially during the
coming week. The Taiwanese government cited fear of another terror attack on
Abuja, Nigeria’s capital for its security alert.
Who can blame them, Boko Haram has seriously dented the image of this country. I only hope the situation and image of this country can be turned around for good and soon too otherwise we can kiss foreign investors and investments good bye. Continue to read after the cut...

KATE WINSLET TIES THE KNOT WHILE BRANDY GETS ENGAGED
Titanic star, Kate Winslet, has married for the
third time in a secret ceremony, to fiancé Ned RocknRoll - the nephew of
Sir Richard Branson - in New York. The 37-year-old actress was given away by her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio at an intimate service. She has two kids- a girl and a boy- from her previous marriages (one from each).
Brandy is also engaged to her boyfriend of a few years, music executive Ryan Press. They got engaged on Christmas day. Ryan proposed to Brandy on one knee right in front of her parents in her family home while they were opening Christmas presents. Congrats to both couples. Christmas is indeed a season of love and giving.

OBASANJO'S HILTOP MANSION IN ABEOUKUTA GUTTED BY FIRE
Former president Olusegun Obasanjo's hiltop mansion which he resides in Abeokuta was gutted by fire today. The fire started from the kitchen around 5pm this evening and later spread to the office of the secretary but was put out by the Ogun State Fire Service truck which prevented the fire from spreading to other
parts of the sprawling estate.
Obasanjo who expressed appreciation to God said that, ” You have seen
that it is only the office of my secretary that is burnt.” He added in
Yoruba, “Ile Obasanjo to jo Ewa lobu kun. This is translated, ” A king’s house gutted by fire can only add beauty to it.
Thank God it was contained. I can't count the number of times I have been to that house, it will be a shame if it burned down.

Beyonce posted these pics of Blue Ivy on her tumblr page. One shows her sharing a tender moment with her daughter, while on
holiday on a boat and another of just Blue Ivy's foot and leg. Although the picture has just been posted, it was actually taken in September when Blue Ivy was nine months. The thing is Beyonce is always posting pics of Blue Ivy that don't show are face like the back of her head, her feet, very dark pics that generally don't give a clear shot of her face. You either show her to the world or not.

DAVIDO SLAPPED AT ELEGUSHI BEACH
I heard Davido was slapped by King Saheed Elegushi at the after-party of the Dynamix awards which took place at Voodoo lounge, Elegushi beach. First it was Karen now Davido.
An eye witness said that B-Red was heavily drunk and was
arguing with the King when Davido moved forward to touch the king, ans in a
flash the monarch delivered a hot slap on Davido’s face and he and his bouncer were severly beaten by the Elegushi guards. Davido
& B-Red and others later prostrated and apologized to King
Saheed after they were corrected by a member of the Crew.
