POLICEMAN KILLS CONDUCTOR FOR STEPPING ON HIM

A yet-to-be identified policeman attached to the Alapere Police Division, Ketu, Lagos, allegedly shot and killed a bus conductor for stepping on him yesterday.  An eyewitness said the policeman, who was in mufti,  was standing at Tipper Bus Stop when the conductor stepped on him. He challenged the man for stepping on him and not apologizing. The victim maintained that he was not going to apologise to him.
"It happened so fast. All we heard was a gunshot and the conductor fell down bleeding profusely." "But as he was trying to escape, people around followed him and caught him. People were really angry", an eyewitness said.

When they discovered that he was a policeman, riot developed. The rioters wanted to burn down Ketu Police Division but policemen soon mobilised the area to quell the riot and secure the police station.

How long will the police continue to waste human lives they swore to protect? The policeman responsible for this barbaric act and misuse of power must be made to face the consequences of his actions.

GHANA SHOPPING MALL COLLAPSES, 3 DEAD, SEVERAL INJURED

 The recently built four-storey shopping mall, Melcom, Achimota Branch, in the Ghanaian capital Accra collapsed yesterday. Three people have been confirmed dead and dozens of victims are still  trapped. Thousands thronged the site, including family members in search of relatives. Police said around 50 employees were reported to be in the building before the collapse on Wednesday morning. It was not immediately clear if customers were also inside, with one worker saying the mall had yet to open, but the mall is a heavily patronized shopping mall in the area.

It is reported that the whole building collapsed suddenly without warning. Some previous shoppers claim the building always looked poorly and hurriedly built.

MOTHER NAMES NEW-BORN TWINS AFTER OBAMA AND ROMNEY

A Kenyan woman who delivered twins on the day the just conluded US Presidential election held has named her new-born twins after US President Barack Obama and his Republican rival Mitt Romney. Millicent Owuor, 20, gave birth to the twins  at a hospital, just a stone throw away from the ancestral village of President Obama, Kogelo,  where celebrations were going on over the re-election of the President.  She said she named her twins after the winning and losing US presidential candidates in order to remember the day of the vote.

I foresee 'bad blood' (rivalry) between this children in the future, whoever is Romney won't be happy being named after the person that lost. Kinda like saying the other is Superior, or what do you think?

The Miss Black USA 2010, Osas Ighodaro is set to join the cast of AfricaMagic’s popular soap opera TINSEL! The New York born Nigerian-American actress, is currently filming scenes for her new role on the series in Lagos. On Tinsel Osas plays free-spirited and forthright Adanna, an art student from the US who travels to Nigeria to find her inspiration.

EVA ALORDIAH DROPPED BY TRYBE RECORDS

Rapper, Eva Alordiah and popular record label Trybe Recordshave parted ways. The management of Trybe Records released a statement earlier announcing termination of her contract with them. Read below;

‘Trybe Records and Eva Alordiah have agreed to terminate her recording contract effective immediately. Trybe Records’ vision is to discover and nurture the talents of our artists while operating with purpose, valuing relationships with our partners within the industry, and being persistent in creating and releasing quality music. Unfortunately, over the past 5 months Eva’s vision has not aligned with ours and thus, both parties have agreed to separate.

We wish Eva the best in her future endeavors and plan on continuing towards our goal of creating quality music for Nigeria and beyond‘.

Inside sources said that Eva has been a handful to manage and/or coordinate with, since signing her in June this year, demanding for more than what she was offered at all times and that the label was basically ‘tired of her antics’.  ‘Eva needs to throw away her attitude. She thinks bigger than herself and it’s killing her‘, a friend of hers said.

Eva came into limelight while working with rapper M.I on his debut album, and was considered a replacement for Kel at Capital Hill records but the deal wasn’t pursued as she was considered a ‘high risk’ decision to make.  Eva is one of the promising upcoming female acts around now; featuring on Psquare and Bez‘s albums and performing at The Headies.

This has got to be the sex scandal of the year. The story you are about to read was written by Stella Dimoko Korkus for Encomium magazine. It contains BB messages between Ruke Amata's wife and a South South governor and some other men proving the steamy affair going on between her and these men.

In the chats, Gilda confessed to a lot of shocking things including running down her husband of eight years. There is also a portion on the chat where she chatted with the Governor. The Governor who runs a South South state is a hopeless lover boy who referred to Gilda as MMP (missing my princess). PHD HOLDER LIVED AND DIED IN REFUSE DUMP

Dr. Olawunmi Thorpe, an Ogun State indigene, died a homeless man. You won't believe this, he was a Bachelor and Master’s degrees holder in Mass Communication and a PhD in English Language. To passersby and residents, who saw Thorpe everyday in the rubbish dump beside the rail line at Fagba Bus Stop in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State, he was a deranged man who spoke impeccable English. He died about 5pm Wednesday last week.

Before his death, two ‘good Samaritans’, Mr. Larry Happiday and Mr. Dele Olawale, who had interest in Thorpe’s case before he died, took his body to ensure it did not rot on the same rubbish dump he used as home. Happiday said he first met the deceased about a year ago, “I began noticing him around Fagba about a year ago because I live around Fagba. One day in March, he approached me and I thought he was going to ask for money. But he did not.

OBAMA BEATS ROMNEY, WINS RE-ELECTION

America's first black President, Barack Obama has been re-elected again. He wins re-election after holding on to key swing states including Ohio. Networks declared President the winner soon after 11pm despite predictions election could be historically close. Barack Obama tweeted this picture of himself with his wife Michelle shortly after being declared the winner of the 2012 presidential election.
