POPULAR NIGERIAN DESIGNER 'REMI LAGOS' DIES AT 51

Renowned Nigerian designer, Remi Osholake of 'Remi Lagos' is dead. She died from Uterine Cancer (Endometrial Cancer) in the United Kingdom on Saturday. She was receiving treatment at the Harley Street Clinic, London, after she was diagnosed of cancer in October, but died within just two weeks of diagnosis. She was 51. So sad, may her soul rest in peace.

JUNGLE JUSTICE HAPPENS TO ANOTHER FOUR AGAIN!

While we are yet to get over the shock of the ALUU  jungle justice that led to the death of four promising young men, four men who allegedly went to rob at night were caught and burnt alive in Vono street, Mushin,  Lagos, yesterday morning.

The men were alleged to have gone on a robbery operation last night before they were apprehended by angry residents of the area who wasted no in pronouncing judgement on them and killing them.

 
Why is it so hard for people to accept that nobody is guilty until proven so by the law? This isn't about Nigeria's criminal justice system, it's about people committing murder. Know this, if you participate in jungle justice, you are no different from the supposed criminal(s) you are prosecuting; criminals torture and kill and that is exactly what you are doing, and that makes you a criminal! Lady Valerie Ebe was sworn in yesterday, 3rd November, 2012 in Uyo. Valerie Ebe, is the first female Deputy Governor of the state. Mrs Ebe, born on March 26, 1947, took over from the former Deputy Governor, Nsima Ekere, who resigned his appointment on Oct. 31 shortly before his impeachment proceeding climaxed.

Mrs Ebe’s nomination was confirmed by the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly following her nomination by the state governor, Godswill Akpabio.

BUHARI WON'T MEDIATE FOR TERRORISTS - CPC

In response to the demand of the terrorist group Boko Haram, for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to act as a mediator as one of the conditions for a ceasefire, CPC in a statement today said Buhari will not be acting as a mediator. Read their statement below;

 "What is the portent of using Buhari’s in Boko Haram versus Federal Government Parley?" " Our attention, in the CPC has been drawn to a widely publicized news that our National Leader, Gen Muhammadu Buhari has been appointed to take part in a Boko Haram/Federal Government parley.

As a party, we are convinced that this is the latest gambit in the desire of this organically corrupt PDP-led Federal Government in diverting the attention of the unsuspecting Nigerian public from the on-going massive looting of their common patrimony.

3-YEAR-OLD GIRL DROWNS IN WINNERS CHAPEL SCHOOL

A three-year old girl identified as Imiefan Omokaro was on Thursday afternoon found dead in the toilet of her school, known as Kingdom Heritage Model School along Sapele road in Benin City. She was said to have fallen into a bucket half filled with water. A source said a teacher who found the little girl at the toilet raised alarm and the girl was taken to the Winners Chapel Church, owners of the school, where pastors engaged in marathon prayers to revive the girl.

It was learnt that when the mother of the child came to the school to pick her daughter, the teacher said they were looking for the child. The source said it was after two hours that the child was taken to a hospital where a nurse on duty confirmed her dead.

What kind of teachers leave a 3-year-old unassisted in the toilet/bathroom? This is an unacceptable carelessness. So sad, the poor parents. Pls continue to read more...

Having kids is a blessing but too many of our celebrities are having kids out of wedlock and it's not a good example for kids who are looking up to them. I know it's their lives but when you become a celebrity, you have a responsibility to those who are looking up to you.
