NIGERIAN FEMALE SINGER CLAIMS TO HAVE RECEIVED $200,000 FOR RAUNCHY PHOTOSHOOT

I came across these raunchy pictures of this supposedly upcoming Nigerian singer Adokiye Kyrian Yvonne (a.k.a Adokiye) even though I have never heard of her before now. Well, they say she has two songs, “Baby Baby” ft Olamide and “Kulumo Kulumo” ft Black 70. Her PR people also said she was paid  $200,000 (N32milliom) plus a G Wagon Mercedes Benz car in a deal with a magazine tabloid in New York, USA for this 'almost nude' photo spread.

N32million for this? Abeg shift. Even Kim Kardashian didn't get paid that much for her playboy photoshoot and she fine pass. We are not fools abeg, if you want to lie for publicity, lie correct lie. Have you guys ever heard of her? Well, I'm sure these pics definitely got your attention though.

OMOTOLA JALADE-EKEINDE HONOURED BY BEFFTA

Nollywood damsel Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde was recently honored by the Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television & Arts (BEFFTA) for her contribution to the movie industry in Africa, Europe, and the world at large.

The award, titled the BEFFTA Film Icon award, was awarded to the superstar by BEFFTA founder Pauline Long, who praised Omotola for her great talent and commended her for being a good role model to aspiring acts.

UK MAIL ACCUSES NIGERIAN MAN OF USING JUJU WITCHCRAFT TO TERRORISE, RAPE ORPHANS AFTER SMUGGLING THEM TO BRITAIN

I saw it this morning on UK Daily Mail. Read their report below;

"A Nigerian people smuggler who used witchcraft rituals to force children to work as sex slaves was jailed for 20 years yesterday. Osezua Osolase, 42, tricked poverty-stricken Nigerian orphans into travelling to the UK with the promise of a better life. But the young victims were raped, sexually abused and subjected to voodoo-style rituals by a child trafficking ring. Osolase, the linchpin of a multi-million pound global sex trafficking ring, used 'juju' magic to control his victims.  He told the teenage girls they would die or never bear children if they tried to escape or revealed what had happened to them. 

 Judge Adele Williams told Osolase: 'You are arrogant and manipulative, you are devoid of conscience, devoid of any compassion to your victims. 'You were dealing in exploitation and misery and degradation. You have been convicted on clear and compelling evidence of trafficking two girls in and out of the UK. 'Once they arrived in the UK the reality was explained to them that they were going to have to work as prostitutes.'They were petrified that if they spoke out they would be harmed and killed.' During the trial it emerged that Osolase raped one of the young girls knowing he had HIV. Judge Williams described this as a 'seriously aggravating' feature to his crimes."

HURRICANE SANDY HITS NEW YORK CITY, 6MILLION WITHOUT POWER

Hurricane Sandy yesterday wrecked havoc on Northeast corridor of the United States from Washington and Baltimore to Philadelphia, New York and Boston, leaving 16 people dead and lots of damage to infrastructure. The city has shut its mass transit system, schools, the stock exchange and Broadway, and ordered hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers to leave home to get out of the way as Sandy zeroed in.

Superstorm Sandy knocked out power to at least 6.2million people across the US East, and large sections of Manhattan were plunged into darkness by the storm, with 250,000 customers without power as water pressed into the island from three sides, flooding rail yards, subway tracks, tunnels and roads.

FG TO RE-OPEN THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE IN LAGOS TODAY

The Federal Government is set to re-open third mainland bridge today, one week ahead of the previously scheduled opening date of November 6. The bridge was closed for repairs on July 7, 2012. This is definitely a huge relief to Lagosians.

ADAORA IKOKWU WINS MAIDEN EDITION OF FACE OF SYLVIA'S HAIR

The finals of the Face Of Sylvia’s Hair Season 1 (FOSH) took place at the Marquee Hall, Federal Palace Hotel Victoria Island on Sunday 21st October 2012, and 23 year-old Adaora Ikokwu won the star prize of N1,000,000, a brand new KIA motor and a trip to Dubai. Chinazom Sandra Mbagwu followed closely as the first  runner-up clinching a N500,000 cash prize plus lots of fantastic prizes. The second runner-up, Jessica Henshaw won N500,000.

The contest was organised by the hair extensions line, Sylvia’s Hair which is owned by MGBN 2011 winner, Sylvia Nduka.

JIM IYKE TO HOST HIS OWN REALITY TV

The Nollywood actor has revealed that he will be airing his own reality TV show, titled Jim Iyke Unscripted. The show which is aimed at giving his fans and viewers access to all areas of his life is a joint production of African Magic and Oh Africa TV.

The deal for the reality show was reportedly brokered by Jim’s Uk-based management company Greyology Inc. The reality show, which is based on his true life story is expected to hit the screen in a few weeks.

PROPHETESS SET ABLAZE DURING TRANCE CELEBRATION

30 year-old Prophetess Folashade Esther Ogunseye of the Celestial Church Genesis Agbado, Ogun was accidentally set ablaze during a celebration  organised in her honor for going into trance for seven days. In the midst of the celebration, one of the church workers allegedly sprayed perfume known in celestial parlance as Ona La on the dancers without taking cognizance of lighted candles which some of them were holding which started a fire and Sade was set ablaze along with three other members who had joined in the celebration.

Sade who said she  had warned them not to celebrate the trance for her but to pray, was the worst hit.

Her condition is quite severe, "I cannot do anything as I am. I always feel hot. My neck is always paining me. I can't wear my clothes. I cannot sleep unless the fan is on. My neck region is always paining me. I have to put ice-block or pour cold water on myself to reduce the heat. For how long will I do this?" she said.

AKWA IBOM GIRL SHOT BY POLICEMEN IN ABUJA IS BURIED

Lucy Ukpong, the sales girl killed by some policemen in Apo, Abuja on October 12, (if you missed it, read it HERE) was buried amid tears at Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Saturday. Lucy’s remains were buried at 1.13pm at her family’s compound on Udo Inyang Street, Etinan. Apart from her parents, she also left a son, Devine Godswill, behind.

The police authorities had pleaded with the family to accept an amicable settlement of the matter but the family have said nothing short of justice will be acceptable to them.
