AKWA IBOM'S FIRST FEMALE DEPUTY GOVERNOR SWORN IN

Lady Valerie Ebe was sworn in yesterday, 3rd November, 2012 in Uyo. Valerie Ebe, is the first female Deputy Governor of the state. Mrs Ebe, born on March 26, 1947, took over from the former Deputy Governor, Nsima Ekere, who resigned his appointment on Oct. 31 shortly before his impeachment proceeding climaxed.

Mrs Ebe’s nomination was confirmed by the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly following her nomination by the state governor, Godswill Akpabio.
