Nigeria's foremost and only Rock 'n' Roll act and son of former Prelate of Methodist, Brandiny Mbang has added another feather to his cap. The music act was recently appointed a United Nations Eminent Ambassador of Peace. The artiste joined the elite list of International Ambassadors for peace during the event held to mark the birthday of the Secretary-General of United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, at the State House in Yenegoa, Bayelsa state.
Brandiny was chosen based on his relentless efforts towards the promotion of the Girl Child Education and his achievements and contributions to the growth of the Nigerian Entertainment industry.
As an eminent ambassador for peace, his responsibilities include attending all major United Nations conferences, seminars. He will also be involved in conflict resolutions and eligible to serve as an international election observer in other countries and more so, create empowerment programs to get the organization actively involved.
