Luxury designer, Alexander Amosu, gave a bottle of his £1.2m (N300m) champagne to Don Jazzy a few weeks ago, now he has sent one to Peter Okoye. Na so e dey easy to give out N300m like that? Makes me wonder if this drink is actually that expensive.

ANOTHER BIZARRE RUNWAY COLLECTION

Le Mindu sent models wearing nothing but hats and gold body paint down the runway. Le Mindu has caused controversy in the past, most recently when he sent completely naked models down the catwalk during a London Fashion Week show. Singer Lady Gaga is a fan of Le Mindu, not surprising though. More after the cut...

CONTROVERSY TRAILS GOV. FASHOLA'S BIRTHDAY CAKES

Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola celebrated his 50th birthday a few days ago. There's however, controversy surrounding the cakes at the party. As you can see, two of of the cakes in the picture above  depict the governor's obvious support of Manchester United. This has unfortunately angered some Lagosians and Nigerians. Should this be an issue? See some of their comments below;

Dare: Nigeria's Leaders' Shallow Mentality: Even at levels as high as the governor's office, they still subscribe to the silly mentality of supporting foreign institutions blindly to the detriment of their own. Is the Lagos State government a shareholder in the Manchester United football business or what? How come a British football club, 6,500 kilometres away is being given free advert while the Stationery Stores FC of Lagos State is totally crippled and is not on the world's football radar? I just don’t understand the sense behind these ugly cakes.

OJB RESPONDS TO JULIET IBRAHIM'S STATEMENT

In a recent interview with Encomium Magazine, ailing producer OJB responded to the message Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim posted on her instagram page saying kidney transplant does not cost more than $50k and wondered why people raising funds for OJB were requesting for $100, 000. Read OJB’s response below;

"The mistake she's making is that it depends on the hospital you are going to in India. She says she runs a foundation, they might give her a rebate. The procedure itself is $55, 000. When you take out $55, 000, you are left with $45, 000. What about the running cost of the procedure? You don't go to India only to come back and start asking for help again. At least, I need some money to maintain myself for the next one year. So when you factor in all these costs, add air tickets and lodging, you will appreciate what we are talking about.
