THREE KILLED IN PETROL TANKER AND VAN ACCIDENT

Three people were burnt beyond recognition in accident yesterday in Port Harcourt. A Toyota Hilux van rammed into the rear of a stationary petrol tanker which immediately set the two vehicles ablaze. The accident took place near Air Force Base along the Port Harcourt-Aba Expressway.

The driver of the petrol tanker had left the vehicle in the middle of the road when he noticed that it had broken down. The operatives of the state-owned Traffic Management Agency had placed caution signs some metres away from the back and front of the tanker while making plans to remove the tanker in order to forestall any accident. But sadly, the driver of the Hilux vehicle still rammed into the stationary tanker even with the caution signs placed on the road killing all the three occupants of the Hilux vehicle. The victims’ corpses has been deposited at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital mortuary.

Please let's pay attention to the road while driving,  the driver was probably distracted and didn't see the tanker on time. Please drive safely.
