“I joined the Bafarawa Arabic Islamic Centre in 2010 and they were teaching us Arabic language. Every year, we take about 20 people to Iran for special training because our zonal headquarters is in Iran. Our own group is called Shitte but we have the same agenda with the Boko Haram sect. You people have only been hearing of Boko Haram, but there are other deadly Islamic groups that are also part of Boko Haram sect. I can count up to six of them that I’m very much aware of. Whenever we heard that any of the sects was fighting Christians, we always joined them. My own group has been an Islamic movement for a long time, even before I was born. It reigned in the north during the Abacha military regime and it has many branches in the north. We are in major northern states such as Kastina, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kano, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Zaria among others.

Very funny thing. Billionare U.S Talk Show Host, Oprah Winfrey, was in Switzerland for Tina Turner's wedding earlier this month, and she decided to go shopping in a top store in Switzerland. She spotted a bag in the store and told the shop assistant that she wanted to look at the $38,000 handbag but the shop assistant refused to show it to her saying she wouldn't be able to afford it. According to Oprah, the incident taught her racism was still an issue - even when you are a world-famous celebrity. She told Entertainment Tonight: 

'I was in Zurich the other day, in a store whose name I will not mention. I didn't have my eyelashes on, but I was in full Oprah Winfrey gear. I had my little Donna Karan skirt and my little sandals. But obviously 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' is not shown in Zurich. 'I go into a store and I say to the woman, 'Excuse me, could I see the bag right above your head?' and she says to me, 'No. It's too expensive.'' 

The saleswoman then told her to look at cheaper bags. 'I left the store but it proves that racism is still an issue. There's two different ways to handle it.  I could've had the whole blow-up thing... but racism still exists, of course it does.'

The incident took place in the chic Trois Pommes store and the owner of the store, Trudie Götz, and the whole of Switzerland have since apologized to Oprah.

                        It has been discovered that the sergent who was dismissed from the Nigeria Police for extorting money from a citizen has been impersonating his classmate for over 21 years. Information gathered by Channels Television revealed that Osugwor festus and not Chris Omeleze is his real name.

A source, who chose to remain annonymous, said that the "real name of the dismissed policeman is not Chris Omeleze. His real name is Osugwor Festus from Umuseti in Ndokwa West LGA of Delta state. He was classmates with Chris Omeleze... They attended Ndemili Grammar school and finsihed in 1987.

Permit me to make my second and final contribution to the raging debate about Lagos, who owns it and the seemingly endless tensions that exist between the igbo and the yoruba. It is amazing how one or two of the numerous nationalities that make up Nigeria secretly wish that they were yoruba and consistently lay claim to Lagos as being partly theirs. Have they forgotten where they came from? I have never heard of a yoruba wanting to give the impression to the world that he is an igbo, an ijaw, an efik or a hausa-fulani or claiming that he is a co-owner of Port Harcourt, Enugu, Calabar, Kano or Kaduna. Yet more often than not some of those that are not of yoruba extraction but that have lived in Lagos for some part of their lives have tried to claim that they are bona fide Lagosians and honorary members of the yoruba race. Clearly it is time for us to answer the nationality question. These matters have to be settled once and for all.
