GUYS, YOUR TURN; BRINGING COLOR BACK TO FORMAL

When it comes to dressing formal and the traditional men suiting, I know guys generally feel 'safe' wearing black, brown, white or gray. Well, it's 2013! Fashion has gone waaay beyond the traditional.

If you're a fashion forward individual, you must understand that fashion is about taking risks, and most often, well worth it. The Men’s fashion spring 2013 featured a lot of colored pants and suits to tantalize your thirst for some colors, so get on with the trend.

However, when wearing bright colors, sometimes it’s smart to anchor them with a dark layer to even out the look, depending on where you’re going. But if you’re looking to wow on the red carpet or a wedding, go all out! There are no restrictions here. Feel free to mix colors and patterns, set a trend. For more inspiration on this, check my previous post HERE.

 Peter Okoye of Psquare recently released these new promo shots, wearing  suits. He looks dapper, I only wish he had played with a little more color.

For those less willing to try the colorful suits and pants,  here are some other ways to look stylish and really trendy while still looking formal;

Why not ditch the suit for a sweater, it'll be perfect for this rainy season. They come in different colors and patterns, you'll be amazed with the number of options you have in terms of style, pattern and colors. They can be worn with a straight or bow tie, or even without a tie.

If you're a bit weary to try colored suits and pants, may be due to the nature of your job, try some very fashionable waist coats to give you a more stylish look. Waist coats come in so many different shapes, patterns and styles now, round neck, V-neck, double-breasted etc. Try different colors too. You can wear them with ties like these, or

without a tie for a less formal look. Also, wear colorful and patterned shirts and tie with darker suits and trousers to make you look a little more trendy and stylish.
