In a news conference in Abuja earlier today, the Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed Abubakar, through the Police Public Relations officer, Mr Frank Mba, said four key
suspects have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of the Aluu 4 murder victims. They are Felomo Solomon, Cynthia Chinwo, Oziomo Abajuo and Chigozie Evans.
He said the suspects were caught after they were clearly identified
in one of the video clips of the incident posted on the Internet. They are also looking for the whereabouts of
Coxson Lucky, also known as Bright, who was alleged to be the one the
victims went to see with regard to money owed them and then raised the
alarm that the young men were thieves.

He confirmed that of all the suspects arrested, Alhaji Hassan Welewa, the Traditional
Ruler of Allu Community, has been indicted by intelligent information as
one of the chief instigator, who encouraged the mob to kill and burn
those four innocent young men,’’ he said.“We are investigating every aspect of the killings, including the
allegations that some policemen stood idly watching while these hideous
act took place.’’
