About 1,000 Nigerian women on Hajj visit are stuck
at the Jeddah airport,Saudi Arabia. They were denied entry to into the country on Wednesday because they were not accompanied by men.
The women, who began arriving Sunday at the airport in Jeddah, in
western Saudi Arabia, were facing possible deportations by Saudi
authorities, said a report compiled by the National Hajj Commission of
Nigeria, which oversees Nigerian participation in the Islamic pilgrimage
to Mecca.
However, the Federal Government of Nigeria has given the Saudi Arabia
government 24 hours to expedite action in resolving the issues
surrounding the detention of the female pilgrims. Vice President Namadi Sambo gave the ultimatum when he summoned the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Khaled Abdrabuh, to his office. He said reports available to him suggested that only Nigerian pilgrims were being subjected to such dehumanizing treatment and "should the Saudi authorities not desire our pilgrims to perform this year’s Hajj, they should let the country know.”
I'm confused; you are caught with man, wahala, you are without man, wahala. Which one una dey sef?
