PATIENCE JONATHAN NOT ILL, "TAKES A MOMENT REST"

 
The first lady's spokesman, Ayo Osinlu, has denied that the President's wife had been hospitalized for food poisoning. He, however, confirmed that the President's wife is out of the country but is not ill. He said she traveled out of the country to take "a moments rest".

There was confusion on Monday over the trip of President Goodluck Jonathan’s wife, Patience, to Germany.

An online portal, Saharareporters, had reported on Sunday that the wife of the President  was being treated for “food poisoning” which she contracted during a visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirate 11 days ago.

Her  spokesman, however, did not disclose Mrs Jonathan’s whereabouts but said she will be back in the country soon.
