Aminu Sule Lamido, the eldest son of the Jigawa State, Sule Lamido |
A judge at a Federal High Court in Kano, ordered Aminu Lamido, the eldest son of Jigawa state governor, Sule
Lamido, to be remanded in prison custody pending
his ruling on his bail application on Tuesday following his
arraignment today on money
laundering charges. Aminu was arrested by the EFCC on December 12, 2012 at the Malam
Aminu Kano International Airport for not
declaring $40,000 in his possession on his way to board an Egypt bound
flight to Cairo.
Glad to see that our legal system is slowly beginning to understand that nobody should be (and is) above the law.
