In the last few weeks, the red carpet has been bombarded with what is now being referred to as WBD: Why Bother Dresses (rightly so). They’re
nicknamed thus because they are so sheer and revealing that their
wearers might as well have stepped out in their lingerie or nothing at all.
This new breed
of outfit is vulgar, showy and fast becoming the must-wear frock to
guarantee publicity for whatever film, song or project that celebrity
might be desperately trying to promote. Whatever happened to leaving something to the imagination, or less is more? Do you like these new trend, the WBDs?
I see the WBD as an unnecessary outfit. What's the point if you aren't going to wear anything underneath? Why not just walk around in your birthday suit (i.e naked). It doesn't even leave anything to the imagination so what's the essence of it?
