The dramatic video of the moment a Spanish train carrying 218 passengers hurtled off the tracks and smashed into a wall yesterday, killing at least 80 people and injuring over 100 has emerged. The train was said to be travelling at over twice the speed limit on a sharp curve. The astonishing security camera footage shows the intercity express train speeding round a corner before jumping the tracks and hitting a concrete wall in a shower of sparks and debris.
