GOERGE ZIMMERMAN FOUND NOT GUILTY IN THE DEATH OF TRAYVON MARTIN


George Zimmerman, 29, has been acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter in the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman, who was a neighbourhood watch volunteer, was charged with second-degree murder for shooting and killing Martin on February 26, 2012. Zimmerman, who was a volunteer neighbourhood watchman, claims he shot Martin in self-defence, and that the teen punched him repeatedly before deciding to use lethal force. The teenager had no weapon on him at the time Zimmerman shot and killed him. 

Meanwhile, it would have been better for him to have gone to jail 'cos judging from the reaction of black folks on Twitter, Zimmerman's troubles and worries are only just beginning. See after the cut...
