Nine female health workers were killed by unknown gunme in Unguwa Uku
area of Kano metropolis, while they were carrying out polio
immunization in the city. Eye witnesses said that the gunmen were on a
tricycle when they opened fire on the victims who were
immunization staff who go from house to house for immunization exercise. The gunmen fled the scene of the attack before security agents could reach the area.
Several Islamic clerics are opposed to polio vaccination claiming that it was a western scheme to limit Muslim population in Nigeria. This is the first time gunmen will be using tricylcles to stage such attacks since the state government banned the use of commercial motorcycles in the commercial city.

Dear Go! Killing people who are trying to help their children grow up healthy. This is so wrong and so sad. We need serious prayers in this country.
