EXPLOSION IN FESTAC THAT KILLED ONE WAS NOT A BOMB BLAST

The explosion at Amuwo odofin bridge in Festac yesterday that killed a man, Mr Oladele Pius was not  bomb explosion like many are reporting but the blast was due to electrical fault. The explosion killed Mr Pius, who was the head of the sand dredgers in that area, and also injured a policeman.

According to eyewitnesses, rescue workers found it difficult to carry Pius’ remains and had to use shovels to pack them in different body bags, while the inspector’s legs were shattered, and his eyes and hands were also affected by the explosion. Pius is survived by five children and two wives.
