"Pregnant singer Rihanna arrived at a Los Angeles recording studio at 2 a.m. wearing sweats and using her Gucci handbag to cover her tummy. So far Rihanna and her camp have been tight-lipped about Rihanna’s bun in the oven — and for good reason. RiRi is reportedly very upset that word leaked about her pregnancy. She had planned to announce her pregnancy as part of the promotion for her new album. But those plans have been scrapped.
Instead, she and the baby’s father, Chris Brown, will make a “special announcement” after the album drops."

DAILY MAIL U.K ACCUSSES BISHOP OYEDEPO OF EXPLOITING BRITISH WORSHIPPERS

According to reports published by Daily Mail UK this morning, Bishop david Oyedepo of Winners Chapel is being accussed of exploiting British worshipers by receiving £16.7 million in donations from followers who were told that God would give them riches in return. The caption of the report read "Laughing on his private jet - the £93m pastor accused of exploiting British worshippers". Read the report below;

A church run by a controversial multi-millionaire African preacher has been accused of ‘cynical exploitation’ after its British branch received £16.7 million in donations from followers who were told that God would give them riches in return.  Followers are ferried in double-decker shuttle buses to the church, handed slips inviting them to make debit card payments, and are even told obeying the ministry’s teachings will make them immune from illness.

Today’s Mail on Sunday revelations about the Winners’ Chapel movement have prompted the Charity Commission to review the charitable status  of the church – one of the fastest-growing in the UK. Winners’ Chapel is part of a worldwide empire of evangelical ministries run by Nigeria’s wealthiest preacher David Oyedepo, who has an estimated £93 million fortune, a fleet of private jets and a Rolls-Royce Phantom.

GOVERNOR OKOROCHA PUNCHES ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNOR'S AIDE OVER SEAT

According to PUNCH, at the 80th birthday celebration of former vice president, Chief Alex Ekwueme, in Enugu yesterday, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State on punched a protocol officer who refused to allow him sit on a chair reserved for the Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi.

In retaliation, a police officer attached to the Bomb Disposal Unit in Anambra State, Mr. Felix Alumona, pushed Okorocha when he was removing the tag bearing Obi’s name from the seat. Okorocha’s Aide de Camp, Gabriel Onu, immediately pounced on Alumona, hitting and tearing his uniform, while other security details attached to the Imo governor joined in the scuffle. Sensing that the matter was beginning to attract people, Okorocha quickly intervened, saying, “Hey, please stop the fight! Let us not fight over an ordinary seat. I will share the seat with Peter Obi.”

Our leaders need to understand that they are the people's servants, without this understanding and humility, pride will rip them apart.

EFCC ARRESTS FAAN OFFICIAL WITH $1.4M

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested an official of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Akinyele Adetula, at the Murtala Airport, Lagos yesterday for trying to launder $1.4m (N218m). The suspect used his identity card to pass through Nigeria Customs Service and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency security checks without any suspicion.

But instead of proceeding to board his flight, he was seen making phone calls and was  accosted. The security officials noticed that his bag was heavy, searched him and saw the huge sum of money which he said did not belong to him and that he was only trying to telephone the owner, one Mr. Ifeanyi Urama, a bureau de change operator who also doubles as clearing and forwarding agent.

Urama, who was alleged to have given Adetula the money which belonged to a yet-to-be-identified person, was recently granted bail by the EFCC after he was arrested with $996,000 (N155m). Adetula was offered N10,000 to help the unknown person to get the money past security. The Head of Operations, EFCC, Mr. Iliyasu Kwarbai, said for the suspect  to pass the bag through the scanner without security agents raising any alarm  implied that officials at the airport were beginning to connive with criminals. He said within a period of three weeks, the commission had seized over $10.2m (N1.6bn) in Lagos alone.

The law states that anyone traveling with over $10,000 (N1.56m) cash must inform security agents at the airport and he/she must also be prepared to explain his/her source of livelihood.
