Continue to read a recap of the maiden edition...

The Sunday Night Fight maiden event on Sunday 2nd of September was truly an explosive and memorable event with excellent boxing, music performances by upcoming talented Naija artistes, superb dancing skills with great food and drinks served. The boxers truly gave their all in front of the crowd and the crowd loved it!!! Wanting more. The only female bout of the night (Flyweight division) was between Ayisat "LadyKiller" Oriyomi of Blessed Boxing Club and Vivian "1 Punch" Vincent of Smart Boxing Club. This was a rematch fight as they had first encountered each other in the ring in May 2012 at the Ali vs Kidney Failure: A Unique Boxing & Music Charity Event. (Please check out facebook.com/goldfistpro for pictures and more info) LadyKiller won the May fight, but she couldn't deliver a win this time with Vivian Vincent taking the Gold Fist Medal this time around. Looks like Ayisat "LadyKiller" Oriyomi vs. Vivian "1 Punch" Vincent 3  will be taking place on October 28th to determine who is the true Warrior Princess of the Ring.

The main bout of the night was a Super Heavyweight division fight between Gabriel "SKYPOWER" Frances of Champion Boxing Club and Segun "THE BODY" Ibraheem of Warrior Boxing Club. It was a Clash of the Titans between those two boxers. But SKYPOWER truly  showed the audience and his new fans and opponent that he got the power with his awesome display of jabs, left hooks and uppercuts securing his win. The crowd wanted a rematch as some people thought THE BODY deserved the win. We might give the fans want they want real soon.

This October event will have of a total of Eight (8) fights as opposed to the September event which had just Five (5) fights. All fights will be of 3 x 3 minute rounds with one (1) minute intervals in accordance with Amateur rules and regulations, giving our targeted audience Twenty Four (24) rounds of non-stop fast pumping action. This boxing series is in conjunction with the Lagos State Amateur Boxing Association. The boxing ring will once again be a platform for upcoming  music artistes, performers and entertainers to showcase their skills to the crowd plus we will have some mad BMX riding skills  inside the Boxing ring courtesy of the Bad X Riders. Truly Nigeria has got some badass talented youths eager to show the world their KUNGFU.

Elegantly sexy Gold Fist Number Girls will be in the ring communicating to the crowd which round is about to be fought adding authenticity and fun to a truly explosive event.

Don't forget that while we plan to entertain you, this Sunday Night Fight Amateur Boxing Series is our journey to the 2016 Brazil Olympic Games, whereby we plan to discover, groom, create, develop and support potential Olympic medalists within the next 4 years who will redeem our great Nation on the world stage of Sports while at the same time entertaining our youthful, energetic and music loving Nigerians.
