CHIDI MOKEME RETURNS TO GULDER ULTIMATE SEARCH SET TO HOLD IN AKWA IBOM

Chidi Mokeme is set to return as the host of Gulder Ultimate Search season 9. This was announced at the  unveiling of the 12 finalists yesterday night during a party held inside the New Expo Hall of Eko Hotel and Suites, in Lagos. The 12 finalists will proceed to the Usaka Forest in Obot Akara Local Government area of Akwa Ibom State, where this year’s edition of Gulder Ultimate Search will hold. 

The GUS 9 winner will walk away with a cash prize of N9 million, N500,000 wardrobe allowance and a brand new SUV worth N10 million. The show was co-hosted last season by Darey Art Alade and Bob Manuel Udokwu, at  Ososo Forest in Akoko Edo, Edo State.

This year, three past winners of Gulder Ultimate Search will be playing the role of Gatekeepers. They are Dominic Mudabai (Gulder Ultimate Search 4 winner), Michael Nwachukwu (Gulder Ultimate Search 5 winner) and Christopher Okagbue (Gulder Ultimate Search 8 winner).

JTF SHOOTS INDISCRIMINATELY KILLING MANY

The Joint Task Force in Maiduguri today responded to  a bomb blast targeted at an army patrol by first harassing residents, whipping them and later going on a shooting spree, setting homes and shops on fire, killing about 30 people. One of the residents said, “soldiers came into the neighborhood and started attacking people, shooting everybody in sight.” 

The blast early this morning that targeted an army patrol vehicle in the city injured two soldiers said the military spokesman in the area, Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa. The military has recently been accused of using brutal tactics when responding to attacks on their personnel. When asked about these latest allegations, Musa said, “I don’t have any comment.”
When those that are meant to be protecting innocent citizens turn on those they ought to protect, then God help us all.

BISI IBIDAPO OBE FINALLY REVEALS BABY DADDY


The Heavily pregnant actress has finally revealed the identity of the man responsible for her pregnancy - Dino Melaye, a former member of the House of Representatives from Kogi State and he is married. Dino has however denied that he is responsible for her pregnancy. Guess that's why she's been keeping his identity secret till now. Read her interview with told  E247mag.com;

"I actually met Dino  through Lola Alao sometime March or early April  and honestly speaking I was in need of help and Lola Alao promised she would introduce me to someone who could help. The person turned out to be Dino.  I actually visited him in Abuja. He was actually forthcoming and helpful. I was not the only one involved then but he took particular interest in me.  We got to know each other and at a point I was scared because he was all over me. Overtime, he showed me he meant well and we became good friends.

D'banj has signed on another producer into his DB Records. His name is Divine Ifeanyi aka FearDeevee. FearDeeVee produced Kayswitch's song, Sister Caro that featured D’banj. FearDevee is the second producer to be signed to DB Records after J Sleek.

POLICE FIND BODIES OF SLAIN NNPC OFFICIALS

A month after three employees of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation were allegedly killed by suspected pipeline vandals in Arepo, Ogun State, the police have found their corpses.
The bullet-ridden bodies of the workers were identified as a Deputy Manager in charge of Pipelines Right of Way and two other engineers deployed in the area to repair a vandalised pipeline on September 5, 2012.

“We found, in a decomposing state, bullet-ridden bodies of the three victims. We learnt that the body of the local security guard employed by the NNPC, Taye, was cut into pieces and thrown into a swamp,” the head of the task force, Friday Ibadin, said.

JONATHAN PAYS VISIT TO WIFE, PATIENCE IN GERMANY

President Goodluck Jonathan paid a visit to his sick wife, Patience,  in Germany on Saturday. It aired on Nigerian Television Authority at 9pm, it showed the President and his wife Patience, who seemed to be in high spirit, she could be heard saying  “Let me take picture with my husband.” The president returned to the country on Sunday without his wife. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity,  Dr. Reuben Abati, confirmed the visit and said the video clip aired by NTA was a confirmation that the President’s wife was hale and hearty contrary to what some people wanted Nigerians to believe since the scene was not an hospital scene.

So, if she's not in Germany for treatment, what in the world is she doing in Germany for over a month now?

ARRESTS MADE OVER KILLING OF FOUR UNIPORT STUDENTS

The police yesterday stormed Aluu where the four Uniport students Lloyd, Tekena, Ugonna and Chidiaka were killed and arrested Aluu community leader, Alhaji Hassan Walewa and some members of his family, and some students of the institution who live off campus. At the time of the arrest, the community looked deserted as a lot of people have fled the area to avoid being arrested. 

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ben Ugwuegbulam, confirmed that some arrests were made in Aluu, adding that any person found not culpable would be released. According to him, the police are making progress on their investigation based on the information at their disposal. The institution is expected to make its position on the matter known to the public today. Will keep you guys posted.

I hope they make all those found guilty pay dearly for this.
