INOYO TORO FOUNDATION AWARDS AND REWARDS AKWA IBOM TEACHERS YET AGAIN

The Inoyo Toro Foundation celebrated her 5th year of positive impact on the education sector in Akwa Ibom State and her 5th edition of the Annual Awards for Teaching Excellence in Public Secondary Schools in Akwa Ibom State. Former FCT minister, Mallam  Nasir El-Rufai was the guest speaker at the event which held at the Le Meridian Hotel, Uyo, Akwa Ibom on November 9, 2012. The deputy governor of the state, Lady Valerie Ebe was one of the special guests at the event.

For the last 5 years, the Foundation has celebrated public secondary school teachers who have excelled in the teaching of Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics as part of her effort to support educational development in the state. In the last 5 years the Foundation has awarded 81 teachers in the State to the tune of N17, 500,000 and has provided training opportunities for these teachers. The Foundation also has a mentoring program for students in Akwa Ibom State secondary schools.
