The Nigerian Telecommunication Limited (NITEL) is apparently owing its staff 10 months salary arrears while the Security guards have not been paid for 15 months. The workers staged a peaceful protest against the non-payment of their arrears at the Head office in Abuja on Thursday and sealed off the office.
President of the Senior Staff Association of
the organisation Elais Kazzah, said the protest was a warning to the management,
adding that the workers expected it to act on the matter within one
week.
