MAN KILLS SONS, WIFE AND SELF BECAUSE HE COULDN'T GET OVER DEATH OF SON

This story is so heart breaking and sad. A father, Mr Smith, 37, stabbed his wife and two sons (pictured above) in their beds before starting a fire and embracing their bodies as he choked to death. He had been deeply affected by the loss of their baby, Jake, who died four years earlier.

Richard Smith stabbed wife Clair, 36, in the chest and strangled her with a neck scarf, he then stabbed nine-year-old Ben and one-year-old Aaron who were in their pajamas at their home in Pudsey, Leeds. He placed their bodies on the marital bed, blocked the doors and windows and set fire to the mattress before lying down with them to die. 

Clair and baby Aaron died from stab wounds to the chest and neck respectively before the fire started while nine year old Ben, who was stabbed three times died from smoke and fire gases suffocation. The box containing baby Jake’s ashes was found in Clair’s arm. Mr Smith died from smoke and fire gas inhalation but had also stabbed himself in the neck in an unsuccessful attempt to take his own life.The anniversary of baby Jake's death was said to have been a likely  contributory factor.

If he didn't want to live anymore, why didn't he just go alone and leave this sweet innocent ones behind.  So so sad!
