DARE TO BELIEVE- THE POWER OF FAITH

If you ever had a dream in your heart, a vision dear to you, never allow doubt step in. It will surely come but never allow it have a grip on you or your dream. The world today is filled with people who get stuck in the valley of doubt and never emerge from the pain of such discouragement, yet the dreams they carry in them are priceless and could change the world.


 Doubt is a silent killer that comes first under the pretense of a helper, but would eventually snuff life out of any vision. Imagine if Steve Jobs had quit, Apple would have been dead. All great inventors had seasons of doubt and discouragement, but never gave up their dreams. Friends, the environment, people and circumstances will easily cast shadows of doubt on our priceless desires but only those who dare to believe and have faith in what they see inside them will always emerge victorious. Faith is that antidote to doubt. It is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 

As different from ‘positive thinking’, faith adds substance to our hopes, and offers evidence to the things not seen. Faith is demonstrated not just in our thoughts but also in deeds and action. Therefore, when men say we are nothing, faith tells us we are champions and helps us to behave as such. Faith tells us 'impossible' means 'I'm possible'. 

A writer once said that as humans our deepest fears is not that we are inadequate but that we are powerful beyond measure. We often look down on ourselves and think, 'who am I to become great?', 'Who am I to last in marriage?', 'Who am I to do excellently well at work or school?' But I read in a powerful book once that we have been the ability to do all things. However, we often times lose sight of this identity and powerful insight only to resign our fate and future to what the world says. We allow the things we see around us to kill the seed of that glorious future we carry inside us.

You may think it is over and nothing good can ever come out of your work, marriage, school or children because things seem to be in chaos but if you will only believe that great things can emerge from these, then they surely will. You can make your marriage work, and enjoy it too. You can excel at school. Yes, you can because you have the ability to make things happen. Therefore as a champion, I kindly implore you to make up your mind to believe and never doubt. Start seeing things in different lights. Adopt the power of faith and you will be amazed how things will turn out. This goes beyond positive thinking! It requires action on our part. And if you think you have been trying and have not seen any positive results, keep trying, do not quit, for your persistence will eventually lead to your breakthrough. I am confident that you will win if you only believe and allow your actions to be commensurate to your faith
