SAD! GRAPHIC PHOTO OF STUDENTS KILLED IN YOBE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE ATTACK

I'm sure by now we have all heard about the massacre at the College of Agriculure, Gujba ,Yobe State where Boko Haram attacked students of the school as well as residents yesterday morning. The death toll is now 78 with at least 50 of them being students. Members of the deadly sect stormed the school in the early hours of yesterday morning and attacked the students while they slept in their hostel. Some were shot, others were butchered with swords and knives. The gunmen who stormed the hostels in two double-cabin pickup all-terrain vehicles and on motorcycles, dressed in military uniform., later moved to houses around the hostel, killing residents.
 

They attacked 4 male hostels but didn't go to the female hostels. Inconsolable parents and relatives were at the Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital mortuary in Damaturu this morning to identify their loved ones.This situation seems so hopeless, I think we need international intervention immediately. I was laughing so hard when I saw this because I stumbled on one of Synagogue Church's deliverance episodes on TV and I couldn't believe what I was watching. I could have sworn I was watching a Nollywood movie. So, imagine my surprise to hear Jim went there for deliverance. I was at the 'Business side of Fashion' seminar which held at Terrakulture, Victoria Island, today and was privileged to meet my role model, Lisa Folawiyo of jewel By Lisa, a trully amazing woman, and a number of top Nigerian designers such as Folake Coker of Tiffany Amber, David Eweje of David Wej, Tolulope Akinpeloye of N.A.C.K, Omoyemi Akerele, founder of Lagos Fashion and Design Week (she was yesterday listed in the Business of Fashion’s first ever Global 500 list most influential persons in fashion), Funmi Ayanbadejo, CEO Patrick Ayanski, and a host of other top players in the fashion industry.

Yes guys, I am training to be a fashion designer and that's what has been keeping me away from regular blogging. I'm presently studying fashion designing in one of the best fashion schools in Nigeria and I'm currently working on my project and would have more time once I am done. MISS PHILIPPINES. MEGAN YOUNG, WINS MISS WORLD 2013

Miss Philippines, Megan Young, has been crowned Miss World 2013. The pageant held today, 28th September at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali, Indonesia. The 23-year-old beat 126 other contestants to become the 63rd Miss World.  Miss France Marine Lorphelin was named runner-up, while Miss Ghana Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter (in blue) came third.

HOW DID SHE SURVIVE THIS? CHINESE WOMAN SURVIVES HORRIFIC AUTO ACCIDENT

A Chinese woman miracluolously survived a horrific auto accident in Zhangjiagang in the Jiangsu Province of China when her car was crushed by a giant container. The woman was driving alongside a lorry carrying the huge container when the container suddenly fell off the lorry on her car, flattening the top half of the car. Rescuers and members of the crowd that gathered were astounded to hear a voice from inside the car shouting for help. They were able to cut the car open with tools and pull the woman, who had sustained no serious injuries, to safety.

MARIE MILLER WINS MISS EARTH NIGERIA 2013

Popular model and video vixen Marie Miller beat 23 other contestants to emerge the 2013 Miss Earth Nigeria queen. The event held on Sunday at the Oriental Hall, Lekki. Marie will represent Nigeria at the Miss Earth   pageant later this year and also went home with a brand new 2013 Toyota Avensis and N3million one year salary. Judges at the pageant include Amber Rose, Boris Kodjoe and Ini Edo.
