KIDNAPPED 16-YEAR-OLD AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENT RESCUED

Olufolabi Adeniji, the 16-year-old pupil of American International School, who was kidnapped on April 16, 2013 has been rescued by the Lagos State Police Command. Folabi was kidnapped while being driven to school by his parents’ driver, John Adebayo. He was found in a bush in Ilaro area of Ogun State on Friday.

The kidnappers had contacted Afolabi's parents and demanded N60m as ransom but the parents managed to convince them to take N5m. They were arrested in the process of collecting the ransom. Investigations by the Police revealed that the driver, Adebayo,  masterminded the kidnap. The driver was the one that opened the door of the vehicle and allowed the other kidnappers to enter the vehicle. The kidnappers pointed a gun at the victim’s head and took him to a bush in Ilaro.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, said of the rescue operation;

"Narrating his ordeal to Saturday Sun, Nwabude, a former lorry driver, said robbers plucked his eyes, as punishment for daring to run over their barricade and thereby frustrating their operations. According to him, the day the incident happened, in 1992, he was travelling from Jos, in Plateau State, to Onitsha, in Anambra State, with goods and passengers in his Mercedes Benz lorry when they ran into a roadblock mounted by armed robbers, in the night, at Opi Junction, in Nsukka area of Enugu State."

I was able to stay on my job as a full-time worker with my husband’s support. By 1984, my children were four while I had also risen in my profession to the post of a team leader.

Unfortunately in 1985, October precisely, I lost my husband and things took a downturn. 

CHRIS BROWN'S FATHER DOESN'T WANT HIS SON DATING RIHANNA

It seems fans of Chris and Rihanna who didn't want them getting back together are not alone. Chris' father, Clinton Brown, revealed in an interview with the New York Daily News, that while he understands CB's attraction to RiRi, they are better off on their own. He told the paper, "I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together." According to him, the on-again/off-again couple does not have the proper balance to maintain a good relationship, he said,

Well, I guess that means neither Chris nor Rihanna would be described as "grounded" or "logical."

SUPERMODEL OLUCHI ORLANDI BRINGS NEXT TOP MODEL TO AFRICA

CBS Studios International has announced that the African format rights for hit reality TV show competition, ‘America’s Next Top Model’ started by Tyra Banks, has been given to Nigerian supermodel Oluchi’s production company, LuLu Productions. The show will be shot primarily on location in South Africa and will be aired on M-NET Africa Magic channels.  Oluchi will be the show’s host and executive producer. Big congrats to her.

In a recent interview with showtime, Faze opened up about Blackface's struggle to get back into the music scene and his relationship with Tuface; 

How do you feel today that 2face is a superstar as well as yourself, but Black Face is yet to hit the mark?

Black Face is also going to be big. Everybody seems to be supporting him financially, and it takes a lot for people to believe in you. Black Face wrote almost all the songs we had in our first album, so, he has potentials. He has management challenges and people that believe in him. We must be frank, we have some junk music in the industry but they sell because they have financial backups to pay for publicity and other things. These days, if you are bringing out an album, it has to be well packaged, it has to generate noise. I’m working on something with him to make sure he bounces back.

JUSTIN BEIBER AND SELENA GOMEZ BACK TOGETHER

Justin Bieber has confirmed that he and Selena Gomez are very much back together. The 19-year-old uploaded a picture to his Instagram that shows Selena cuddling his bare torso from behind and added the caption: '"You've been makin' music for too long baby come cuddle me" - her.'

The rumours of their reunion started a few days ago when Selena flew to, Oslo, Norway to see Beieber, who is currently on tour in the country and they were spotted on Thursday night, kissing. I'm glad they are back together 'cos Justin has been spinning out of control since their split last year. Selena keeps him grounded.
