CROWD FLOCK TO HOSPITAL AS 'VISION' OF THE VIRGIN MARY APPEAR ON THE WINDOW

Crowds of Catholics flocked to a Malaysian hospital to hold a prayer vigil in front of what they believe to be a vision of the Virgin Mary which has 'miraculously' appeared on one of the building's windows.

The group, who are convinced that the mysterious mark on the seventh floor window represents the much revered mother of Jesus Christ, say that they can also see a second image of her son two windows away. They have been lighting candles praying and singing hymns close to the image. Some described it as a 'miracle'. One of the worshipers said she believes Mary, mother of God, has a message for them, as she is looking down on them and then at a Malaysian flag and that they can also see Jesus moving.

20 STATES PETITION TO SECEDE FROM US FOLLOWING OBAMA'S RE-ELECTION, THEY DON'T WANT A BLACK PRESIDENT

 

Apparently, US still has a lot of racists among her citizens . According to News One;

Some people are really having a difficult time facing the reality of a Black president; so difficult infact, citizens from 20 states — and counting — have filed petitions at We The People on WhiteHouse.gov to be granted permission to leave the union. The states include: Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan, Colorado, New Jersey, Montana, Missouri, North Dakota, Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New York, Arkansas and Oregon.

According to the terms of participation for “We The People,” as of October 3, 2011, petitions thatmeet the listed criteria become searchable on WhiteHouse.gov once — and if — they reach 150 signatures within 30 days. If that is accomplished, for President Obama to actively consider a petition, it must reach 25,000 signatures within the remainder of the same 30 day period.

NCC BANS TELECOMMUNICATIONS OPERATORS FROM PROMOTIONS & LOTTERIES

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Monday has banned  telecommunications operators from running lotteries and promotions. This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Tony Ojobo, the Director, Public Affairs of the commission in Abuja. The move is as a result of several complaints from customers and stakeholders against the various promotions offered by the operators.

GUARD SHOT BY LAGOS POLICEMEN IN CRITICAL CONDITION

The security guard, Joshua Musa, that was shot by policemen who responded to a distress call at his residence on Saturday at Ikota, Lagos (if you missed it, read it HERE) is in a critical condition. Doctors at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja are battling to save his life.

Joshua, 22, was shot in the left side of the chest and abdomen by the policemen, who responded to a distress call when armed robbers stormed the house. His brother, Nuhu, who also witnessed the incident, said the five policemen started shooting sporadically at anything that moved immediately they came into the compound after the robbers had left.

One of the bullets was said to have gone through Joshua’s chest and went out of his back. The second one was lodged in his abdomen but removed in the hospital and he has received four pints of blood since he got to the hospital. Doctors are trying to determine if any bullet fragment was still lodged in his body. Joshua had a pipe passed to the two entry wounds in his chest and abdomen.

A tenant, Femi Badejo, a banker, pleaded with the policemen that he was a tenant in the house but they shot at him and when he hid under a car, they kept shooting at him. Also, a woman who offered to show the policemen her room just to assure them she resided in the house was also shot but the bullet only grazed her head.

THE HEADIES AWARDS 2012 COST N236M?

That's what the organisers of the event are saying. That the 2012 edition of The Headies awards which held on October 20, 2012 at the Expo Hall of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, cost a whopping $1.5m (approximately N236m).

The show’s executive producer and C.E.O of Smooth Promotions, Ayo Animashaun, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Nigerian Entertainment Today. The figure, he says, covers sound, lighting, venue, logistics, plaques and events, according to our findings. And the budget came from mostly corporate sponsors, including MTN, Lucozade, and Verve.

TONTO DIKE MISSES FIRST MUSIC PERFORMANCE GIG

Nollywood actress turned musician, Tonto Dike was expected to perform alongside Kennis Music act, Capital FEMI  at the BON awards in Lagos over the weekend but she failed to show up.
