The 37-year-old golfer returned this year to the world No 1 spot pf Forbes' annual list of the world's 100 highest paid athletes, which he had held for so long until his self-imposed exile from the game December 2009 following his extra marital affairs which eventually led to his divorce from his wife and mother of his two kids, Erin.

Woods earned $78.1million in the last year, with endorsement deals worth $65million and the remaining $13.1million came from winnings. He was top of the list for 11 consecutive years until 2012, when he was beaten by Swiss tennis star Roger Federer.

OMOTOLA PAID $650,000 TO BE ON THE TIMES 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD LIST?

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde was recently honored as one of Time Magazine 100 Most Influential People in the World and according to a Nigerian blogger, Sheifunmi, she paid $650,000 (approximately 100 million naira) to be on that list. I doubt the authenticity of this allegation but just read all the same.

MICHEAL JACKSON'S DAUGHTER, PARIS, ATTEMPTS SUICIDE

Michael Jackson’s 15-year-old daughter, Paris Jackson, attempted to take her own life in the early hours of Wednesday - just weeks before the fourth anniversary of her father’s death. Paris left a suicide not and used a meat cleaver to cut her wrists and took a drug overdose. She then called a suicide hotline and the person on the other end was alarmed enough to call 911. Police are saying she didn't really want to kill herself but just wanted attention and that's why she called the suicide hotline because she wanted to make sure EMTs got there in time. 

Paris was taken by stretcher to an ambulance and then transported to a nearby hospital, she was placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours. 

There are reports that Paris was upset because she was not allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert in Los Angeles on Thursday and had become overwhelmed with sadness over the loss of her superstar father and her expected appearance in court in Los Angeles to testify in a trial connected with Jackson’s fatal overdose on June 25, 2009. She posted some sorrowful tweets in the midnight on Tuesday just before she tried to kill herself;

BOLLYWOOD ACTRESS FOUND HANGED IN HER HOME

Bollywood actress, Jian Khan, was found dead at her home in Mumbai. Her mother and sister  are said to have gone out and she was alone at the apartment when the incident happened. When they got home, they found Jiah hanged. 

Jian had been 'very depressed' about her career and wanted to pursue a career in interior design when her acting career failed to meet its early potential. The 25-year-old actress made her Bollywood debut in 2007, playing the 18-year-old female lead opposite one of India's leading actors, Amitabh Bachchan, in a film based on Vladimir Nabokov's classic novel Lolita. She had told her Director in the movie Nishabd that 'everyone around her makes her feel like a failure.'

She was dating Suraj Pancholi, son of Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi, for around a year and Police are reportedly questioning Suraj as he is said to have been the last person to see her alive. No suicide note was found in her apartment. Such beauty, what a waste.
