Two women,Temitope Abigeal, 26, and Temitope Remi, 28, have been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ebute Meta on a three count of conspiracy, assault and grievous harm.  Abigeal and Remi, both choristers at a Cherubim and Seraphim church at Progressive Road, Ebute Meta, were said to have assaulted Hannah Okurabe (18) with razor blades at Abule Nla junction, a few metres away from the church.

The March 17, 2013 incident was said to be the result of an earlier fight over the church’s choirmaster, Joseph Unuigbe. A father of two, Unuigbe is married to Folashade, who is also a member of the same church. Details of the incident is sketchy but both defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges. To do this to a fellow human being over a married man? That's just wickedness.

Senator Mark did not visit Dubai for Tuface wedding rather he attended the 128th Inter parliamentary Union (IPU) conference currently holding in Quito, Ecuador. He was also not represented at Mr. Idibia's wedding. It is also instructive to state that the President of the Senate, Senator Mark, did not make a car donation of any kind to Tuface before departing Nigeria for Ecuador neither did he purchase nor send any car to Dubai as a wedding gift for the musician or his wife. Who made the donation on behalf of the President of the Senate?

 It is therefore a puerile lie for anybody to state that Senator Mark bought a Ferrari car worth N47m for Tuface. The allegation is wicked, ridiculous and irresponsible.

AMERICAN VARSITY UNDERGRADUATE KILLED BY CULTISTS IN LAGOS

On March 18, 2013, 26-year-old Adeolu Otenaike left Benin Republic with his newly acquired Honda Baby Boy car to come to Nigeria to celebrate with his friends but his celebration was turned into mourning as he was killed two days later in the Mushin area of Lagos.

Otenaike, who was a student of North American University, Houdegbe, was in company with five of his colleagues when the incident occurred. On March 20, 2013, after hosting friends near his parents’ residence on Ojelade Street, Mushin, some youths, suspected to be cultists, attacked and killed him.

A witness, who craved anonymity, said, “Otenaike and his friends left his parents’ home and went to a club on Jibowu Street to celebrate further. They met some other friends in the club where they remained till almost 12am. “When it was about midnight, the deceased decided to escort his friends but when they got to Empire area, they were accosted by some gangsters. The gangsters were led by one Taiye and I think Otenaike had a misunderstanding with them a few years ago.

HENRY OKAH JAILED FOR 24 YEARS

A South African court today jailed Henry Okah for 24 years after he was convicted of 13 terrorism charges over the twin bombings in Abuja on Independence day in 2010 in which 12 people died.

Very close to Jojein Hotel on Oba-Ile Road, the road was very bad. So I had to slow down to manoeuvre through the potholes. It was at that point that they levelled up with me and blocked the car.
