OMG! WOMAN KILLED BY TRUCK TODAY! (VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED)

The incident happened earlier today at Tincan First gate in Apapa area of Lagos. A truck ran over the lady while trying to avoid policemen that wanted to collect money from him. In an attempt to escape from the policemen, the driver ran over the lady and she died on the spot. My God! On the last day of the year! That's someone's daughter/wife/girlfriend/aunt/mother/niece/friend. I bet she was a lot of things to different people. One family robbed of the joy of a new year. I feel so sad right now. May she RIP.

REASONS WHY OSAZE WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE NATIONAL TEAM FOR ANC 2013

According to Paul Bassey, a columnist with Vanguard Newspaper, who was present at the NFA Technical Committee meeting where Keshi and his assistants defended the Nation’s Cup list, Osaze Odemwingie was excluded from the Super Eagles squad for the 2013 African Nations Cup holding in South Africa, because the Eagles’ coaches were skeptical about a player who withdrew from National duty just because he was substituted during a match at the last world cup.

GOV. AKPABIO DECLARES WEDNESDAY AS PRAYER DAY FOR AKWA IBOM

Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio, on Sunday fixed Jan. 2, 2013 for general prayers among the citizens to dedicate the state to God for the new year 2013. Akpabio announced this at the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Uyo, during a thanksgiving service organised for the state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Paul Ekpo. 

The governor said the entire state would gather at the Ibom Hall Ground in Uyo to dedicate the state and his administration to God, adding that “with God all things are possible”. He stated that there was a great need to thank God in Akwa Ibom for His faithfulness to the people of the state. If you're in the State during this period, make sure you're there. If you can't be there, ensure to pray for the State where ever you are.

GREAT NEWS! LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT DONATES N4.5M TO SAVE ACTRESS NGOZI NWOSU

Yaaayyyyy! What a great way to end the year. Lagos State government today gave actress Ngozi Nwosu N4.5million to help her with the necessary treatment required urgently to save her life. She has been battling with a kidney and heart-related ailment for a while now and needed N6million for treatment abroad but was able to raise N2million from well meaning Nigerians.

Big thanks to the Lagos State government and everybody who donated cash and prayers. Thank you all! I guess I can now remove my 'Save Ngozi Nwosu' 'banner' and go back to featuring people who can be of inspiration to others in our Personality and Video of the week corner.

The couple who were blessed with twins some months ago after five years of marriage, dedicated their twins yesterday at St. Dominic's Catholic church in Yaba. Lots of wonderful news going round. Congrats to them.

KANYE WEST CONFIRMS HE'S EXPECTING FIRST CHILD WITH KIM KARDASHIAN

I wrote hear some days ago that Kim Kardashian is pregnant and was treated by a physician after she had a bout of morning sickness (if you missed it, read it HERE), well, it's been confirmed by the baby daddy himself, Kanye West. Kanye made this announcement last night while performing at Revel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, "Stop the music and make noise for my baby mama," referring to Kim, who was in the audience. Kim is about 12 weeks along.

A little while later, Kim's sisters, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie took to Twitter to express their joy.
