LOLA OMOTAYO OPENS UP ON HER RELATIONSHIP WITH PETER OKOYE AND THE CHALLENGES OF DATING AN ARTISTE

After two kids together, Lola Omotayo, who has been known to keep a low profile since she started Psquare's Peter Okoye,opened up on why she loves him and the challenges that come with dating a celeb. Read excerpts from her interview below;
I love Peter because he was never intimidated. When I met him, he was just trying to build himself and I was very proud of him. I have a lot of respect for him, his talent and I saw that he had a vision. Peter doesn’t get intimidated by anything; in fact, he supports and encourages me all the time. I think he’s happy that he doesn’t have to do everything; he can rely on me that I will take care of our kids.

COLOR-BLOCKING WITH IRO AND BUBA - OLEKU STYLE!

Iro & Buba is a  common traditional wear amongst the Yoruba ethnic group of Nigeria and while the style can be worn in different ways like the iro (wrapper) going all the way down and the sleeves of the buba (top) reaching for the wrist, my favorite way of wearing it is the Oleku way. Oleku was more popular in the 60s and 70s, the iro used to stop right above the knee while the buba sleeves stopped at the elbow.

Oleku has been revamped by the present day fashionistas and you can even color-block with it. It can be ankara fabric or lace worn over damask or aso-oke. It can even be adire (tye & dye), there is no limit to the variety of local fabrics that can be used. The buba can be vneck, round neck or off-the-shoulder and can even have a sequined or beaded neckline while some opt for an embroidered effect. Finish the effect with some chunky jewelries and super cute shoes and you're good to go to church, wedding and even red carpet appearances. I love the above looks by Ituen Bassey.

I'm thinking of revamping my traditional wedding attire to oleku. Will bring you pics when I do. Meanwhile, get some oleku color-block outfits inspiration below...

KIM KARDASHIAN REVEALS SHE'S HAVING A BABY GIRL + PHOTOS FROM HER BABY SHOWER

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have revealed they are having a girl. This was revealed in the season premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians yesterday night. Meanwhile, Kim's baby shower held yesterday at the same rented estate where Kim's sister, Khloe and Lamar Odom got married. Kim's baby daddy, Kanye West finally showed up but did his best to remain incognito by hiding under his hood. It was reported that Kim had pleaded relentlessly with Kanye to come for the baby shower but Kanye didn't want to because he didn't want to be the only guy there.

Kanye looks like he's ashamed to be associated with this family, but he looked so smitten with Kim at the beginning of their relationship. But lately, he has been photographed severally looking glum and unhappy. I wonder what has changed. Hmm, men will do anything to get what they want and when they do, they begin to act like you're bugging them. I hope he doesn't dump Kim after she delivers o. More pics from the baby shower after the cut...

TOUCHING LETTER OF A DAD TO HIS UNBORN CHILD

My child,

Its just over 31 months since that day I took the stroll down the aisle with your mummy and said our vows before God and man. Since that day, we have been waiting expectantly for you. Sometimes we wonder what is taking you so long. Sometimes we imagine its taking so long because you must be very special. Most times our hearts have remained undoubtedly sure that your coming is very close, and in fact closer than we think. But then, you do not need to keep us waiting anymore.
