ICE PRINCE TURNS DOWN GLOBACOM DEAL EXCEPT HE'S PAID $1M

Ice Prince has reportedly turned down an endorsement deal from major telecoms company Globacom. The rapper was approached with a mouth-watering deal to become the brand’s latest ambassador due to his recent success. Heard he is demanding for $1m (N157million) or nothing. Most GLO ambassadors are paid within N10-N20m except for Dbanj and Psquare. Psquare got N240m for a 4-year deal in 2010.

I like that he seems to know his worth, but is he worth it?

PRESIDENT JONATHAN WAAAYYYY BACK!

He is proof that nobody indeed knows tomorrow.

21 NIGERIANS ON DEATH ROW IN INDONESIA

Over 21 Nigerians are facing death sentence in  Jarkata, the capital of Indonesia w for various offences such as drug peddling and two of them, Samuel Iwuchukwu Okoye and Hassan Anthony Nwaolisa, were executed on June 28, 2008, while one Augustine Ogbonna died under mysterious circumstance in prison custody in September, 2008. 10 would be executed this week if the Nigerian government don't put efforts and pressure on the Indonesian authorities.

During the visit of the Indonesian president, Susilo Yudhoyono, on Saturday, President Jonathan asked for a stay of execution of those on death row while the two countries explore ways for the exchange of prisoners and mutual legal assistance.

Yeah, I know nobody sent them to go into drugs knowing what the consequences are, still, a lesser sentence than death is more desirable. I don't support the capital punishment.

SHOULD ABSENTEE GOVERNORS BE IMPEACHED?

Gov. Sullivan Chime
"We have the case of  three governors who left the country and gave no indication of how long they have been away or  whether they are even away so that the constitutional requirements can be met. That way, the deputy governors can act for them. The way their cases are being handled is  worrisome. And it started with the late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s illness. What is wrong with saying: ‘I’m indisposed. I am going for medical treatment. My deputy will act until I come back?’ Why are they so insecure? I don’t understand it. My view is that it shows that they are not fit to operate in a modern system It’s a more moderate approach to allow the deputy to act until he comes back. But I think him (Gov. Chime) leaving Enugu without a head of government is an impeachable offense." - Itse Sagay

I totally agree with him. Governor Chime has been away for over four months and there has been no explanation as to his whereabouts. Shouldn't absentee governors be impeached?
