PROPHET BATTERED SON FOR ATTENDING ANOTHER CHURCH (VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED)
Dear God! Some people just don't deserve to have kids. A cleric, Prophet Elikanah Ajibade, who was charged to court on Tuesday
and was remanded in prison, was accused to have physically abused his
son because he attended a church service against his instruction. According
to the details obtained by Crime Reports, the boy who is now in the
care of JWC staff, reportedly left home for the new year eve service on
Monday, December 31, 2012, in a church which was not his father’s,
though against the will of his father.
The father, a Cherubim and Seraphim prophet at Okinni, a town in Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State, had earlier told his son who is his late wife’s third son not to go to any other church for the service to usher in a new year.

THE ADVISE THAT CAUSED MY QUARELL WITH ATTAH - GOV. AKPABIO
Gov. Akpabio and former Gov. Attah |
I said "Sir, but the visitors that are coming, they would think this
government is not performing. He (Attah) said, is it my business to fix federal
roads? Will you get out of this place." So I was a man who
over-advised. - Gov. Godwill Akpabio.
This is Akpabio's interview with VANGUARD (read Attah's response HERE) Read the full interview below (a must-read);
Comparison with predecessor
You could just have performed if you have the vision and sincerity. If you have the passion and commitment, you could also have impacted on the lives of your people if you do not have ulterior motive and this has been the problem. So I am building the state from the scratch as if Akwa Ibom was born today. It wasn’t born today.

Why he is angry
I started with a lot of anger. I served as commissioner for five years and I know that where I met the state is not where it ought to have been. I used my money to repair this Calabar road when I was commissioner when Obansajo was to pay a visit to the state. I went and brought a heap of sand to try to fill potholes along the road. So I went to the incumbent governor at that time and I said Sir, let’s do something about the road. He said, get out, is it my father’s road? Let him (Obasanjo) come and see how he has been neglecting Akwa Ibom.

MOTHER OF TWO FOUND DEAD IN HER BED
Bose's lifeless body |
Culled from Daily Sun;
In Ososa village in
Ogun State, there is a raging puzzle: Who killed Bose, a mother of two
children? At her death, she was living with her third husband after two
previous failed marriages. Her lifeless body was found on her
matrimonial bed on January 10, 2013. It was covered with her own
wrapper. Her freshly braided hair was undone. All these raise the
suspicion that someone or some people might have attacked her. But who
did it, and why?
These are
riddles no one, including her husband, Mr. Williams Yellow, can readily
provide answers to. And the police? Well, it would seem that it is not
of any interest to them. "The police didn't tell us they suspected
anything but they asked if we want them to investigate the matter, we
asked them not to do so because we know it would gulp a lot of money
which we can't afford." That was Bose's father. And for now, the matter
is as dead and buried as Bose, the subject.
THE UNENDING RIFT BETWEEN GOV. AKPABIO AND FOMER GOV. ATTAH
Gov. Akpabio and former Gov. Attah |
For those of you who don't know, there's been an unending rift between the present and former governors of Akwa Ibom State. All and every person powerful enough to intervene have tried to no avail. The reason behind their rift is a story for another post but you will get some of the gist from this post.This is an open letter by former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Victor Attah to the present Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio. Will bring you Akpabio's piece that led to this one later. It is long but quite interesting;
"For a very long time now I have stopped reading anything that is
written by or about Barrister Godswill Akpabio the governor of Akwa Ibom
State for the reason that I find most of those things sickening and I
certainly wanted to avoid being provoked into making a response.
When I was first told that there was another of those write ups in THISDAY newspaper of Friday, January 18, 2013, I simply ignored it. Then again in Vanguard newspaper of Monday, January 21, 2013 my attention was drawn to what must be the same write up.
