FG TO HELP NGERIAN AIRLINES ACQUIRE NEW AIRCRAFT

As part of the plan to intervene in the nation’s ailing aviation sector, the federal government as put in place a funding system to assist the Nigerian airlines to  purchase brand new aircraft. The federal government is negotiating with aircraft manufacturers to supply brand new aircraft at globally competitive price to Nigerian airlines and funds to make the purchase will be provided by the government on stringent conditions and at very low interest rate, a single digit rate.

This clarification was made on Channels TV weekend breakfast programme; Sunrise, by the Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr George Uriesi. This is an impressive move by the federal government. With new planes, our air travel will definitely be much safer.

SUV SKIDS OFF THE 3RD MAINLAND BRIDGE INTO THE OCEAN AS RESCUERS SUCESSFULLY RESCUE THE VICTIM

    

 A Toyota Sienna bus skidded off the Third Mainland Bridge and plunged  into the lagoon around 11am today. Luckily, the Ilaje fishermen around the area rescued the only victim, the driver of the SUV, Shola Oladimeji. After he was rescued, he was taken to the nearest health centre for first aid and regained consciousness a few minutes later. He then gave his name and his wife's phone number and where he works.

According to an  eyewitness Shola was going on high speed when his car skidded off the bridge and plunged into the lagoon. Then God for his mercies. When will people take the saying that 'it is better to be late than be the late' seriously?

KATE HENSHAW REPLACES SASHA AS SAMSUNG AMBASSADOR

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has been made Samsung's brand ambassador. Though this is yet to be officially announced, the deal  is almost completed. Kate Henshaw is replacing rapper Sasha, who was the brand ambassador for over a year.

No reason has been given for the brands move to drop Sasha. I'm guessing it's 'cos she hasn't been doing so great in the music industry of late, I mean for the last year she's been almost invisible in the entertainment scene.
