FEMALE STUDENT SHOT DEAD IN ANAMBRA

Chioma Obikel Nwosu was a 23 year old 400l medical student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Anambra State. She was traveling on friday 31st August when was stopped by unkwnown gunmen who shot her while she was trying to escape from them. She was taken to the hospital where she eventually died.

Saddening. May her soul rest in peace.

GOOGLE $1,500 HIGH TECH GLASSES

Google Co-founder, Sergey Brin, modeling the high-tech glasses

This high-tech glasses is a new invention from Google. The glasses contain a camera, a display screen and a processor that lay information over your environment so that you can interact with the world around you almost as if you were looking at it on a smartphone. It was debuted at the Diane Von Furstenberg show at the New York Fashion Week.

Models at the DVF show walked down the runway in the tech company’s futuristic frames as they displayed the designer’s couture A demo that accompanied the launch showed the glasses alerting their wearer to things like the location of the nearest subway and the weather report, as well as updates on the locations of your friends and the ability to send and receive messages.

They are, however, not yet available to the public.

Chris Brown has a new tattoo of a woman's face that bears a striking resemblance to his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna's face. Though he says the tattoo, which is on his neck, isn't an homage to his former flame.


The black-and-white image shows a woman whose bone structure, arched eyebrows and full lips bear a striking similarity to Rihanna, but the tattoo version bears the scars of a serious beating.

GOVERNOR AKPABIO BAGS AFRICAN ICT MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, was over the weekend honored with the African ICT Man of The Year Award during the 8th Annual Nigerian Telecoms Award. The event was organized by the Nigerian Telecommunications News in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Akpabio was awarded based on his outstanding efforts and investment in building and equipping the first e-library in West Africa- a major learning and knowledge development center.
